Visited my niece and expected for wonders, although I was a bit disappointed. For the price of the dishes I wanted much more and got much less. The food was good but wasn't mind blowing. Visit at your own risk.Food: 4/5
Exceeded my expectations!! Everything we tried was delicious.Pictured: shrimp tacos, spinach gnocchi, beet salad, filet mignon sliders (so tender), branzino, cobb saladHotel breakfast buffet offered a welcomed range of fruit, though could have more hot food options for the $41/person price point. The highlight must be the service. Waters and juices were constantly being refilled. Each and every staff was patient, gracious, down-to-earth, and a delight to converse with. Really elevated my stay at the hotel.
As a loyal Marriott member this place is not worth spending one dime on. The prices are somewhat high but I can live with it since it's right across the street from Central Park. The biggest disappointment is the service is the worst. We had to go over and ask the bartender to take our order. after receiving our food we had to constantly ask for everything. specifically refills and an extra plate. After we were done eating we had to flag him down for a check. We have been to this Marriott many many times and it's incredibly beautiful. The staff is great however this restaurant does not even come close to the reputation Marriott strives to achieve . Needless to say we will not be coming here again. This is not a one off as we have it for many times and finally I just felt like I needed to write a review.
Nice place with quality food and friendly service
Very disappointing. Upon being seated we noticed two dead flies and cheese on the floor. The server impatiently asked for our order without even presenting us with the menu. We just wanted coffee. The Americano was very watered down and the cappuccino was basically the same thing with some frothed milk. I did not have high expectations but for $10 each I expected something better than what was served.
The grilled octopus was great. The grilled cheese wasn't amazing (it seemed like the bread was toasted instead of grilled and the cheese wasn't completely melted) but the shoe string fries were on point. The ambiance is really nice and the service was great. The soda was in a can instead of fountain and it was $9 for a can soda so that was a little ridiculous. But, overall, it was a nice experience.
Excellent customer service, Iqbal was an amazing, attentive and intuitive waiter and Omar was great to talk to. But the food -- amazing! ??? will definitely return on my next trip to NY
Best service you can imagine — if you have any issue at all, talk to the hotel management and they will make it more than right — phenomenal first-time experience, same with my second visit — cannot recommend more especially if you are staying at the hotel or live nearby and want to grab eats or drinks late !
My friend and I stopped for dinner on our way home for work. We eat a lot around this area but never tried this place. It is inside JW Marriott hotel and so a bit hidden. So glad i tried. Stellar service, hip ambience and excellent food. My carnivorous friend chose to go vegan so we can share the dishes. We ordered their hummus , a huge salad, pesto pasta and apple pie. Hummus and salad were outstanding. To my taste, the pasta could have been more Al dente and less oily. Nevertheless it was tasty. It is a bit pricey for a casual week night dinner (for me, your mileage may very) but I would totally go back. We sat by the fireplace and found it cozy. I am sure their window seating will be fun too.
He went to Manhatta to celebrate an anniversary without much expectations and I can tell without a doubt that it was one of the best experiences we had in NYC. Adam, our waiter, was really nice, offered great recommendations for food and drinks and made the whole experience even better. Food was delicious, and drinks really good too. Highly recommend (and I did not even mention the view).
Came back because the hotel doesn't have coffee in the room. Ordered a cappuccino without checking the price. Oops. While a decent size, I was shocked to see it was $10. It was definitely not with $10. Foam wasn't great, nothing spectacular in terms of flavor. Service was non existent. I had to walk to the waiter to order and to close out. View is not bad. Place was pretty empty on a Saturday.
You're better off getting breakfast at Starbucks or Joe & The Juice. The floors were covered in old food. They start pouring you orange juice without asking and if you don't refuse it's like $16. We had to insist they take it back. Hard pass - paid $96 for 2 for diner food in a chaotic and dirty environment.
Went there just for the Dessert…Apple Pie was Good.
As with many Marriot properties you can expect quality
Disappointing. Felt tired and maybe even dirty. No energy. Sloppy (tables were left with dishes on them for extended periods of time). Won't go back.
