This Restaurant was simply AMAZING!! We had Steak Fromage and had never had it before. It literally melted in your mouth it was that good. The Roquefort cheese was on the side and you could just lather your steak with it. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. Just the best steak I've ever had. Service was over the top. I mean literally after two or three drinks of a beverage they were right there to top it off. Every part of the meal was perfect. And if you like history - this restaurant has that too. I won't discuss the details - think... Sopranos. But a lot of famous people have dined here. When you come to New York - you have to have one of your meals here

Old school vibes, old school (fantastic) service, great steaks, great wine list. Like stepping back into another version of NYC without sacrificing good food and good service.

Classic old steakhouse, great service and a solid menu. Steak was properly cooked but the meat was dry and didn't have great flavour. Disappointing food quality given the price.

Never been disappointed at Sparks. I go there every time I am in NYC. Great food, well run, top quality.

Went into the City to see Hell's Kitchen, the play written by Alicia Keyes (highly recommend this entertaining, lively play). So, when in NYC, Sparks is at the top of our list for dinner. Arrived at the restaurant a bit early so we had cocktails at the bar. A “perfect” Manhattan for me and a martini for my wife along with a great conversation with the bartender. We split a Caesar Salad (crisp, fresh, tasty), I had the Steak Frommage (plenty of delicious Roquefort cheese) and my wife had the Veal Chop (large and perfect) plus we split a large baked potato. Both meals were top notch and only eclipsed by the great service we received (attentive, friendly, and unhurried). Sure it's a pricey experience but well worth it and if you go there you will be anxious to return.

Was extremely disappointed in the portion sizes compared cot other steakhouses as well as the taste, but of the meat. Drinks were good, service was great. Baked clams appetizer were good tasting but very small in size. Sliced steak done Medium was very tough and wouldn't even cut with steak knife. Beef medallions were softer. Baked potato was extremely small for price as was side odf Asparagus. Chocolate mousse cake was adorned with berries, ice cream and whipped cream making it the best part of the meal. Was not the Sparks experience of yesteryear and will most likely not go back, better choices in the area.

Best steak in NYC. Sides are a bit on the pricey side but are delicious. The waiter was a pleasure and the tables are well placed so you aren't fighting to hear at your own table . It's a total pleasure!

Food, service and decor was good but not comparable to either Wolfgang's or Peter Lugers. The steak was definitely not as good.

Wonderful visit. Bartender was fantastic The food was delicious... our waiter was a 20 year vet short in words but on point. Steaks cooked perfect. Wine was as ordered and dessert was pre split and delicious We ended with a history tour of the dining room and the NY mob connection We will be back

One of NY's best steakhouses. Excellent food but be prepared for a large check at the end.
