Spice Thai serves up decent flavor but misses the mark on value. My to-go order looked more like a noodle heavy sampler than a full meal for about $18, I expected a portion that actually fills you up. While the presentation leans fancy and the dine-in atmosphere is nice, the portion-to-price ratio just doesn’t match up. On the plus side, service was quick, I got my order in about 10 minutes. Overall, it’s an okay spot if you’re nearby and craving Thai, but not the place to satisfy a big appetite.

This restaurant was honestly a huge disappointment 😕. I found it randomly nearby and saw it was quite crowded, so I decided to give it a try.

First of all, the lighting was extremely dim—I could barely see the food, and the staff seemed too busy to even notice the customers. I tried to get their attention multiple times, but no one responded.

As for the food 🍝, I ordered their recommended drunk noodles. The presentation was frustrating: the bowl was too hot to touch and placed on a plate in a way that it kept rolling around, making it very uncomfortable to eat. The taste? Nothing special.

And the atmosphere? Terrible. I couldn’t believe they were playing a music playlist with ads in between songs 📻—and nobody cared to fix it.

Overall, it was a very poor experience. I won’t be coming back and don’t recommend this place ❌.

I enjoyed this restaurant. It was clean, had a great atmosphere and the food was phenomenal. This is a small space but call it intimate definitely a pace to visit.

Buyer beware. Check your bill and keep your receipt. I got overcharged on a drink by a few dollars - realized when I walked out. It was few dollars, so no big deal.

After the payment posted, the amount on my bank statement was another $5 added on top. I had already tossed the receipt, so I could not dispute it.

This was delicious. Will be back.

The thai ice tea were elite.

Nothing negative to say...other than there were no changing tables in the bathroom.

Terrible Experience at Spice – Avoid This Place!**

I recently dined at Spice on 13th and Union Square with a party of four, and I deeply regret recommending this restaurant to my coworkers. Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the restaurant was understaffed. It took 15-20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our table and bring us menus. After finally ordering our drinks, we were left waiting an excruciatingly long time. The waiter served our drinks one by one, which made my party and me feel awkward and left out. We expected our drinks to arrive all at once or at least in a timely manner, but instead, we waited 10-15 minutes between each drink.

Feeling embarrassed, I ordered an appetizer, which took another 20 minutes to arrive. Then, we were rushed to order our entrees. After placing our orders, we waited 30 more minutes, only to have our food brought out separately and at a snail’s pace. It honestly felt like there was only one chef and one waiter for the entire restaurant.

This experience was frustrating, as we wanted to toast our drinks and enjoy our meal together after spending $300. Instead, we felt awkward and upset throughout the entire dinner.

To top it all off, when it came time to pay, we split the bill with half cash and half card. Unfortunately, I was given the wrong credit card back, and now my card is lost or potentially stolen.

I will never recommend Spice to anyone again. Save yourself the trouble and choose a restaurant where you’ll actually be taken care of.

Very delicious food for a great price. The location feels intimate without being claustrophobic, & the server was very sweet. So many yummy options we took forever choosing (a good thing) but settled on the BangBang Fish & the Seafood Drunk Man. Will be coming back ⭐️
