Every bar's got its constellation of regulars: regular staff, regular patrons, regular vibes. Truth be told, Spikes energy isn't quite for me--something about the slightly frenetic energy of 14th and A seems to trickle into the space and makes it ever so hard for me to relax and ease in. But every time I'm there, I can see from the regulars around me that there is a good connection among them and a good energy between them and whoever is working. If you like a slightly raucous energy with games, a few TVs, and a view of the craziness of Avenue A, maybe you'll become a Spikes regular yourself.
Its a good after work spot. Bartender is fast with the drinks. You can bring food in but they dont have any food options. I wish the music choice was better its old and not
