Stopped in here to grab a quick cake pop and a warm drink after seeing the Statue of Liberty. Our order came out quick, but we had to wait for a table because it was so busy inside. The line for the bathroom easily reached the front door the entire time we were inside. We possibly witnessed a ma trying to shoplift some items. He drew attention to himself when he dropped a glass mug and he quickly exited the building walked around the corner.

Great place to find a bathroom and a place to charge my phone after getting off the Staten Island Ferry. Compared to the average Starbucks, the store seemed a little dirty with trash left on some tables or in a random corner during my visit. A decorative lamp had its lampshade askew. Staff seemed a little overwhelmed.

The manager didn't give customers the opportunity to purchase the trending bear cup. He instead raffled them off to other managers.
The barista lady self tipped herself $$ without even a word.

I waited over 10 minutes for the restroom, only to find there was no soap. When I told the cashier, she said it could be refilled in 5 minutes, but I’d need to wait in line again to use it.
I asked if I could use her hand sanitizer — she said they don’t have any in the kitchen. When I politely asked how staff clean their hands, she said “they use the restroom.”
Really, Starbucks? Shouldn’t your employees have access to hand sanitizer at all times — and shouldn’t your customers expect basic hygiene too?

I ordered a Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino for the kids and a Caramel Frappuccino for me on a hot day with my family. Mine was not sweet at all and the taste was not what I expected. So I told the employee who made it that it was not sweet at all and handed it to her. She threw it into the trash can like a pitcher in front of me and sighed in displeasure. My son saw it too. I have never seen an employee like her at Starbucks. She was so rude and unfriendly.

I had a disappointing experience at this Starbucks location (South Ferry). First, their oven was out of order, so we were forced to eat cold sandwiches. That already set the tone.
Secondly, the restroom was out of service — or at least that’s what we were told when we asked. We were in urgent need of it and were told it wasn’t working. However, just minutes later, I saw the staff let another family use it. When I pointed this out, the employee realized I noticed and awkwardly apologized, saying the restroom had “just been fixed” and then provided us the code.
This kind of inconsistency and lack of transparency was very frustrating. I don’t expect luxury service from a coffee shop, but honesty and basic functionality (like a working oven and restroom) should be the bare minimum.
Definitely not the experience I expect from Starbucks.
