To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent visits to your Starbucks location. While I have encountered a few wonderful employees, my overall experience has been inconsistent and, at times, disappointing.

There appears to be a lack of guidance, leadership, and teamwork within the store. Several baristas seem to be new and insufficiently trained, particularly when it comes to drink preparation. On multiple occasions, orders have been made incorrectly even after clear instructions were provided.

Additionally, there is a manager on shift who appears frequently disengaged, often on her phone, and not actively supporting or overseeing the team. From a customer’s perspective, there is minimal direction or hands-on leadership, which leaves newer baristas struggling without proper assistance.

I would like to acknowledge two employees in particular—Torre and Malcolm—who consistently provide excellent service and professionalism. However, it takes more than a couple of strong employees to ensure a store operates efficiently and delivers the level of quality customers expect.

I am not writing to single out individuals, but rather to express concern about the overall management and training at this location. With stronger leadership, better support for staff, and improved training, this store has the potential to significantly improve. As it stands, it clearly needs attention in order to succeed.

Great grab & go starbucks location. No seating or restrooms, but it is located within the underground Fosun Plaza which has seating.

To get here: enter Fosun Plaza at Nasau St (go down the stairs from street level) and it’s right by the entrance. Or enter at William St and walk to the other end of the hall.

This Starbucks location is very inconvenient for customers. There is no restroom available, and there isn’t even a place to wash your hands after having coffee. For a food and beverage establishment, this feels unacceptable — they really shouldn’t be operating without providing such basic facilities.

I recently visited Starbucks and had the pleasure of being served by Malcolm. From the moment I walked in, his warm smile and friendly demeanor set the tone for a great experience. He was knowledgeable about the menu and helped me choose the perfect drink, even suggesting a seasonal special that I ended up loving.

Malcolm’s attention to detail was impressive; he took the time to ensure my order was made exactly to my liking. While waiting, I noticed how he interacted with other customers, making everyone feel welcomed and valued. The atmosphere he helped create made the store feel inviting and comfortable.

Overall, my experience with Malcolm was top-notch. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and genuinely enjoys connecting with customers. I’ll definitely be returning, not just for the coffee, but for the great service he provided!
