I drink a lot of Starbucks decaf Pikes with cream and sugar. This is the worst I've ever tasted. It was bitter and burnt. The hotel staff where I was staying said they've had bad results from this location. My wife's skinny vanilla latte was fine.

My protein matcha latte didn't have any flavor. Not even sweet. I love matching but these did NOT taste good. Im not sure if the Barista just forgot to add some kind of syrup...?
However, service was fast. Baristas were polite and friendly. Place was clean.

After I got my order, July 31 at 9:31 am, I went back and asked for a small cup of water, the guy making drinks seemed bothered/annoyed and asked me what name it was under. I said it wasn't an order I just want a cup of water. He gave me a hard time for a simple cup of water. DON'T WORK THERE IF YOU DONT WANT TO! SIMPLY QUIT! NO ONE IS FORCING YOU, SWEETHEART!

Wow, it has to be a bad day. This place has always been the gold standard for me when it comes to service both in person and mobile order. This has also been the case with my frequent GrubHub orders...they set a very high bar when it came to accuracy and packaging BUT alas, you are only as good as your last good deed or in this case, your last good customer experience. Unfortunately my long held belief came to a shattering halt today when I walked in to pick up my mobile order. The male manager was preparing drinks for another customer. He was alone. No one was helping him prepare the three drinks. A young woman finally walked out as he hands the other customer her final drink. The manager and the barista exchange a few words and he walks to the back with an i-pad in hand. While I am still standing there and waiting, the young barista starts mopping the cash register area with little regard by either of them that again, I am still waiting. Mind you it is 6:30pm and it still 1.5 hours from closing. Finally, the barista walks over with some degree of annoyance probably because I do not have a good poker face. This woman DOES NOT WASH HER HANDS even though she was just mopping the floor. She then half swirls, but does not shake, the espresso in a plastic SB cup for an iced brown sugar oatmeal shaken espresso. She does not fill the drink to the top and places it down on the counter like she is doing me a favor. As she does so, an older woman walks out from the back smiling like she does not have a care in the world. For almost $8 a drink during a poor economy, you would think SB would do better to retain customers. Just bewildering and beyond disappointing for this local location. Things were much better under Josh.

I have been a customer for more than 20 years. I went to use the restroom and the lady at the register gave me attitude I ask a code to the restroom she told me I was not a purchasing customer at that time.
I will suggest you be retrained on customer service skills but then on the other hand I don't know if you were just trying to discriminate. A little advice PPL loves it when there is a restroom available and you know it will be overcrowded, not empty like yours. 0 🌟 star to this location.

There seems to be something that gets lost in translation with this Starbucks. Whenever, I go here I have a problem with how my drink is made. Recently I asked for a black iced coffee and received a drink that was almost entirely milk. When I asked the barista to correct it, she seemed confused at first but was open to suggestion on how to correct it.
This last time however, when I ordered an iced coffee w/ 1/4" inch splash of milk, again I received a cup that was almost entirely milk. When I asked the barista to correct it, she became argumentative and instead of pouring 1/4" inch of milk in the new cup, she proceeded to fill it 3/4 of the way high with milk AGAIN and went on about her training dictates that is the correct way to make the drink.
I don't have this problem with any other Starbucks I frequent in the city. It honestly feels like maybe they just have too much milk? Anyway, not worth the hassle. Better off going to St. Nicholas & 125th. Those baristas are so so friendly and make the perfect drink!
