Nice to see a location with plenty of seating.

The service here was terrible. I am a Starbucks partner myself, I know what good customer service looks like and this was not it. GG and Jay, two baristas on bar, they were so awful to me. Rolling their eyes at me, huffing and puffing, etc… My drink first of all was made incorrectly. Jay added what he forgot, then I realized there was little to no ice. My sticker stated “extra ice”. So I went back and got it remade. GG was not happy and didn’t appreciate that she made my drink wrong. Again. She then reads the sticker, continues to make the drink completely wrong. As I’m watching her make this drink, it’s not at all how we’re trained. She had to redo it because once again, she didn’t read the sticker correctly. After she made it she put it on the counter. No note on the cup, no handoff, no smile, and no name shouting to let me know my drink is ready. It looked like her SM was on the floor with her. SM, train ur baristas better! Don’t recommend this store!

I don’t leave negative reviews but I had such a disturbing incident happen at this location I felt like it was necessary to warn others in case they encounter this other individual who appears to be a regular at this location. My husband and I went to this location this am to pickup a coffee order and quickly eat sandwiches before heading out. Our 2 year old was with us and was being whiney so we were eating as fast as we could to get out asap so people wouldn’t have to listen to him for too long. We understand how annoying it is to listen to someone else’s whiney kids so we weren’t lingering and couldn’t have been there for more than 5 minutes before we started getting ready to leave. Before we could stand up, this older gentleman with a little white dog who was sitting two tables away talking to another customer, violently slammed his fist on his table and shouted at the top of his lungs “SHUT UP!!” to my 2 year old child while staring him down. It was so shocking and terrifying. The entire store fell silent because of how loudly he slammed the table and yelled at my child. I was completely frozen in fear because of how aggressive and angry he was and that it was purely focused on my toddler. His reaction was so visceral and terrifying the woman he was talking to immediately stood up and left the store.
My husband called him out for yelling at a child instead of saying something to the adults and we got up to leave. What made the already upsetting situation even worse was that one of the employees came to our table and told us that the “respectful thing” to do is to leave. Which again, we were in the process of doing before this man violently slammed his table and verbally assaulted our child, and were actively in the process of doing as this employee made this comment.
The employee proceeded to say this multiple times to us as we were walking out. Again, we were aware our toddler was whining and that it was annoying which is why we finished within 5 min and were getting ready to leave when this other customer exploded.
I’m still shaken by the experience and it’s really upsetting this unstable man’s threatening behavior was defended by that one employee.
If you have small children who are not capable of emotionally regulating themselves at all times, I recommend avoiding this location if you see an older white gentleman with a little white dog.
Only giving one star for the gentleman on register on 12/4 around 1:30pm. He was the friendliest. Danni on bar? Miserable and rude to customers. Doesn’t make refreshers correctly and when asking for something she is rude and dismissive. The old team was so much better
They are a mixed bag. I did have a decent experience on a few recent visits but staff friendliness was still lacking compared to other Starbucks locations. On the plus side, they made the drinks fast which I did appreciate.

The girl making the drinks was angry and hostile with us when we asked for straws.

This Starbucks is RACIST and UNSAFE for BLACK people! I was assaulted here in front of customers in the cafe and Anicka who was in charge, did absolutely nothing!!!!!! In fact, the two White women involved were able to exit the cafe without a word from her as she stood there chatting it up with another Barista hiding behind the counter instead. Anicka was defensive in her negative attitude towards me and protective of her negative behavior. In addition, not one staff person intervened or assisted. They hid as well. The District Manager never reached out as promised and Starbucks has remained non responsive. We will legally pursue this!

Gigi is amazing, I had an accident and dropped my whole drink (almost cried) and she saved my day. Her kindness and customer service is exceptional, she really made my day, my drink was delicious to top it off. Jay did a great job taking my order, didn’t miss a beat. Even the young man cleaning the lobby was very pleasant. Thank you. Great staff and location.

Some baristas are nice (Edward for eg), others not too much, especially when they mess up your order twice or three times. Every time they forget to add caramel drizzle, and sometimes I’m in a rush I don’t even notice but the times I did they weren’t too happy about it and literally added a very small amount compared to what I’m used to in other Starbucks locations. A little unprofessional for a Starbucks on the Upper West Side and near Central Park.

I have been one week staying around this Starbucks. Everyday I have a bad experience for different reasons. The worst experience ever in this coffee shop. Specially with spaniard lady.

I stopped by this store in the evening a few days ago since it’s a quick walk from Lincoln Center. it was very nice and welcoming, everyone was quick to greet me when I walked in and my order was done quickly and made very well. the store itself was very clean, i can’t say that about many starbucks in the city but this one looked very well maintained. the girl who took my order (i think her name was olivia) was kind and provided great service. will definitely visit again if i’m in the area.

I usually don’t take the time to write negative reviews, but as someone who loves this neighborhood and visits Starbucks almost daily, I felt it was important to share my experience in hopes that things can improve.
Unfortunately, I’ve consistently had unpleasant interactions at the 63rd Street and Broadway location; especially when compared to the warm and friendly service at the 67th Street store. Each time I visit, the atmosphere feels unwelcoming.
While I understand that everyone can have a tough day, I’ve noticed that ALL of the FEMALE staff members at this location often project negative attitudes toward customers. It’s reached a point where I feel uncomfortable asking for basic items like a straw or sleeve, as I’m met with eye rolls, dismissive responses, or even ignored altogether.
What was especially upsetting during my recent visit was being laughed at while I was speaking. It felt incredibly disrespectful and embarrassing. No customer should be made to feel that way, and it certainly doesn’t reflect the standard of service I associate with Starbucks.
Today’s experience was particularly disappointing, and it left me wondering whether some of the staff truly want to be there. As a loyal customer and a resident who cares about this community, I hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and lead to better service; not just for me, but for everyone in the neighborhood.
Thank you for taking the time to listen.

I was walking by in a hot day and decided to get a refresher. I'm very peculiar with this drink because I prefer it more watery than flavorful. Thankfully a barista named Dani was very patient and helpful and made the drink to my liking. An exceptional example of quality customer service, exactly what Starbucks is aiming for. Kudos to the store and her for making my day a little better
