Wow. What a great dining experience here. The cote for two was delicious. The chocolate souffle was maybe the best and the people were awesome. Highly recommend.

What a gem we just found! I made a reservation at Stake Frites last minute on a whim, and am so glad I did. At first we sat at a high table but the place is tight, even for NY standards, so I asked the hostess if we could sit at the bar, that was perfect. Juan, the bartender, was the best! He makes the best cocktails and was really nice. The whole staff is great! Food was good, though my husband’s steak chateaubriand wasn’t served rare as he requested. We’ll definitely be back and try other things on the menu. My only complaint would be the very tight space but I heard they may be expanding so that might change.

The service at this restaurant is top-notch, with waiters working seamlessly as a team to ensure a delightful dining experience. From promptly replacing water bottles to clearing finished plates and setting new utensils, their attentiveness is admirable. The food portions are generous and beautifully presented. However, due to its popularity, reservations are highly recommended as the restaurant tends to get crowded. The space feels a bit cramped considering the number of patrons it serves, resulting in small tables that struggle to accommodate the sizable plates. Additionally, improvements to the acoustics would enhance the overall experience.

ONION SOUP GRATINÉE - 5/5GRILLED MERGUEZ SAUCISSE - 5/5CHATEAUBRIAND (18oz for 2, sauce béarnaise, frites & petite salad) - 6/5Visiting NYC from Dallas, glad we checked this place out. If we lived here, we’d eat here at least once a week. Loved the ambiance and the food was incredible. Drinks (mule and moulin rouge) were great too. Strongly recommend to locals and tourists alike.

We arrived at around 3pm as lunch service was switching to dinner, their in between menu still has lots to offer. We ordered the burger with fries and a French onion soup to share, but I regret not having it all to myself! My partner ordered a margarita which he greatly enjoyed, and I had a dirty martini which was excellent. The staff were friendly & attentive, I can’t say enough lovely things about this restaurant. I would definitely return next time we’re in New York. I don’t know what they do to their french fries but they are highly addictive and the French onion soup was as good as my mother makes which is a huge compliment. Thanks for having us!!!!

The food was excellent but sadly let down by the time we were in there . We had the fixed price menu for $55 which is great value . From the moment we arrived it just felt very rushed . Don’t get me wrong , some may like this but for me I’d prefer a more leisurely dinner . The minute we put our cutlery down the staff came over to clear our plates and we had to tell them three times we’d not finished . It felt as if they just wanted us in and out . It did spoil the whole experience . We barely had enough time to let out starter go down and the main was there . We finished our main and dessert was there in seconds . We hadn’t even finished our dessert and we were asked if we wanted coffee. It was just a bit too quick . I think for a three course meal we were in the restaurant for a total of 45 minutes . Not particularly cheap either . We had a bottle of water , two glasses of wine and some extra vegetables with our fixed price menu and with tip the whole meal was €200. Such a shame we felt rushed .
