The steak is so good. But no table cloth. And keep hearing server or busboy dropping dishes and breaking glasses not professional at all. For high end steak house. Not acceptable. Even the knife was dirty too

Extremely Disappointing Experience — Feedback on Recent Visit

Dear STK Management,

I am writing to share our deep disappointment following our recent visit. Given the $500+ bill and our long-standing loyalty to STK, the experience was far below acceptable standards—both in service and overall environment.

Food Quality
• The oysters were poorly prepared and not fully shucked, which is an extremely basic standard for any restaurant.
• The lobster mac and cheese was watery and bland.
• The steak was undercooked, and although we ordered the same entrée, the plates arrived with different sauces.
• We did not receive a single water refill throughout the entire evening.

Service Issues

While the hostesses and bartender were pleasant, the rest of the service was unacceptable. Our server, Cameron, demonstrated an unprofessional attitude and poor bedside manner. He appeared considerably more attentive and friendly to other tables, leaving us feeling unwelcome and disregarded.

The prosecco spill further highlighted severe communication and coordination issues among the staff. A bread-busser knocked over the glass while placing bread on the table, used my napkin to clean the spill, and never replaced it. No one apologized or attempted to resolve the situation until we pressed the issue ourselves. When we requested a replacement drink, our waiter responded by asking, “How much was left of the drink?” He then unnecessarily stopped to “confirm” the spill with the bread-busser before replacing it—adding insult to already inattentive service.

Additionally, when we asked for another Bloody Mary (after enjoying one at the bar), the waiter said several times he needed to “check if it was available,” making a standard request feel like a huge inconvenience.

The person that delivered our food, and melts the butter over the steak with a torch lighter, also melted the steak sauce container dripping literal plastic on our $110 steak! Why is a steakhouse like STK using plastic anything, and such careless waitstaff. Blasphemy!

Inappropriate Behavior

The most upsetting moment occurred when the check arrived. Our waiter (Cameron) made inappropriate and stereotypical comments implying doubt about whether we could afford the bill. This was offensive, unprofessional, and entirely unacceptable. After years of dining at STK, this interaction made it painfully clear that our presence—and our money—were not valued.

Amenities & Cleanliness

Basic amenities and cleanliness of the restaurant were also lacking:
• The men’s bathroom displayed a $20 tip jar, which felt inappropriate and unjustified given the absence of any amenities or services.
• The women’s bathroom was dirty, with stalls lacking toilet paper and paper towels scattered across the floor.
• The booth I sat in was broken and uncomfortable.
• The fringe curtains along the windows were tangled, unkept, with trash visibly trapped between the curtains and the glass.
• The floral arrangements were fake which for a place like STK…felt utterly tacky!
• The restaurant’s music was exceptionally outdated (think babyshower or kids party) and detracted from the atmosphere.

We had a reservation and still had to wait a substantial amount of time.

Overall Impression

We left feeling unwelcome, underwhelmed, and deeply disappointed. After being loyal customers for years, this experience has left us with no desire to return to any STK location worlwide.
