⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Strip House – Downtown NYC Listen... the food? OUTSTANDING. The service? 10/10. The ambience? Perfect as always. Their barrel-cured Old Fashioned? A spiritual experience. My whole table went in ready to destroy some steaks — and yes, the steaks were exceptional. But me? I walked in with one mission in life: the coconut shrimp. And guess what? Someone at corporate took it off the menu until spring. SPRING. 😩 I'm laughing while writing this, but please understand — I dragged people there because all day I was dreaming about those coconut shrimp. I left with what we call in Spanish “ganas”... like that feeling when you leave a situation emotionally unfinished. 😂 Thank God dessert was on fire — literally. The Bananas Foster Baked Alaska was a show. And that tarragon chicken? I'm still thinking about it today. But Strip House... seriously... What are we doing? Am I getting a special invite to come back for the coconut shrimp or what? 😅 Five stars all the way — but I NEED my do-over.
great, festive dinner. staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. Have been many times and will surely go in the future
I had the pleasure of being served by Alena at the Strip House, and she was absolutely incredible. From the moment we sat down, she was funny, sweet, and genuinely attentive. Her menu suggestions were spot-on, and you could tell she really knew what would make our experience special. Throughout the meal, Alena continued to check in on us and made sure we were doing great without ever feeling intrusive. She has an infectious laugh and an amazing personality that truly added to the atmosphere. It's rare to find someone who can make you feel so welcome while also delivering top-tier service. Alena made our night unforgettable, and I'd highly recommend asking for her if you visit!
Very good, high-quality steaks. Note, you should ask about preparation because default would be a lot of butter added and a thick pepper crust (which they will leave off if asked). Excellent for business meals. I did not realize it was part of the Landry's Group. Remember to use your rewards card.
My fiancé and I celebrated our recent engagement here, and it was the perfect spot for a celebratory and memorable dinner. The service was wonderful and everything we ordered was simply delicious. Easily the best filet I have ever had!
As a person who has been involved in the F&B industry for many years I have a tendency to be over observant when dining out. I eat out every Friday night. This was my first time at The Strip House. I have to say this will now become part of our regular rotation. The staff was amazing from hostess, to bartender to servers to bussers. Our first server was Buddy, then Keith took over when Buddy left early, as is customary in the industry when someone works a double shift. What was not customary was the transition. It went beyond any expectation with an introduction and explanation. Amazing. Crabcake.....perfect......steak....exterior charred to perfection......temperature spot on......potatoes and broccolini......perfect......Here is what really put everything way over the top, for me at least. I asked for an espresso short (it's an Italian thing). The first one was not short. As is typical of me I was drinking it and would not have said anything. However, Keith the server came over and said “that's not short, let me make you another”. Attention to detail which again I observe all the time. I watched many of the staff constant checking tables while rushing through the dining room, picking up items on the floor that in most places would have been overlooked. Again amazing attention to detail. Last, and this really put it over the top for me. When leaving Keith came over said “thank you” and addressed me by my name. You may ask why that is so special.....I paid cash so the only way he could've known my name was to find out from my reservation which means he took the time to check. This was a great experience. Well done Strip House.
I came here for my boyfriend's birthday dinner and the staff were super sweet and attentive. The Mac and cheese is a must try as well as the truffle creamed spinach. The salmon was pretty bland, but I also ordered it without the beurre blanc. Baked Alaska was an amazing experience! Definitely strong alcohol taste though. My boyfriend said the ribeye was the best steak he's ever had. Overall really great experience :)
Had an excellent meal here. Low, dim lighting and nice vibes here. Food and steak was excellent. Would dine here again.

One of our favorite places and regular haunts! Happy to celebrate our seventh wedding anniversary there last night. Everything was perfect as usual we will definitely be back sooner rather than later!

Quick steakhouse classics roundup:
CSal - a little lifeless and liquidy but enjoyed the actual chunks of anchovies!
Shrimp Cocktails - Large and juicy; great sauce.
Porterhouse for 2- Very peppery, very charred, very good. Can't say no to the filet side especially. Good as is, no sides needed tbh.
(Bonus) layered choco cake - very, very good.
Service was good and attentive. Friendly vibes, not pretentious at all. It's true, one of the consistent classics in the city!

We had a great experience. We had to wait an hour to be seated after our reservation time. However they told us they could seat us downstairs in the speakeasy but we wanted to wait for the dinning experience in the main room. So we remained at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender is stern but makes a good dirty martini. Our dinner experience was good and the food was great. To make up for the time we waited they compensated us for our drinks at the bar. That's true customer service. Everything about our meal was exceptional. 10/10
This is an expensive place (about $170/person for our table), but worth it for excellent steak, sides, drinks, service. I'd recommend chocolate cake over the cheesecake, having had former at least 2-3 times and latter once.
The restaurant is beautifully designed with a nice vibe and friendly staff. Delicious food especially the steaks, “pretzel” bread and 24 layer chocolate cake! The service was attentive but not overbearing. Our server, Asma, was a total delight! She was affable, thoroughly knew the menu, made some suggestions & answered our questions. She & her team provided very friendly & efficient service. We had a wonderful experience at Strip House!
