Visited before hitting MET - friendly service. Sandwiches were on par with any other Subway location, nothing to complain about. Dining area is small and it's not the best part of the city (read - plenty homeless) but they keep dining room pretty clean. Hotshot Italian Sub 12" plus bottled cola with tips will set you up for $17 - quite reasonable (DC is here, YMMV)

The morning worker here with the tattoos working at 8:30 am on May 23, 2024 comes off as rude. I came in 2 days ago around this time and she appeared to be bothered that I was interrupting her foul mouth conversation with her friend.

I asked to speak to a manager to settle an issue, the employee just kept saying "no", he even said no to things that didn't make sense like he just turned into a malfunctioning "no robot" Eventually the boss I presume walks in and kind of hears me out about the situation, mind you, as I'm pleading my case the same employee is trying to speak over me and not let me speak to the manager. Here comes the weird part, believe it or not the entire time he referred to his boss, it sounded like he was saying "master" no I am not joking and the managers name was kabib on the name tag so unless his first name is something similar sounding, it seemed like he was saying Master. Anywho kabib seems to understand and almost gives me my sandwich (made wrong by employee btw, he put cheese alone on the bread to toast THEN remembered the steak so twice toasted with cheese stuck to bread) Kabib goes around back, and I guess the employee was so set on not letting me have me poorly made sandwich he whips out his phone, shows kabib something, they're pointing looking at the phone, while the employee says something alone the lines of "this is him right?!?", man I have no idea who he thinks I was but I've never had an incident at any fast food restaurant so unsure what was shown but after that they both proceeded to ignore me and serve the next customer while I just tried to figure out what just happened, and have a conversation. Overall the employee who only said no needs to learn to properly communicate with customers. Kabib seemed okay but was easily swayed by lord knows what on the phone and that wasn't right. To top it off ignoring me like I dont exist is wild. Worst subway I've ever been to, worst experience at a restaurant or fast food spot and I think kabib and his apprentice need to work in an environment where treated people right isn't part of the job.
