This gem of an ice cream store is such a fabulous addition to the neighborhood. The ice-cream flavors are always interesting and it's obvious that the ingredient used are fresh. The last time I was there, me and my gf tried their version of a Manhattan cocktail, inspired by a local artist. I didn't taste any alcohol, but the cherries were delicious. You should go!!

Didn't deliver my order kept hanging up the phone.. I would have been better off with 7/11

The ice cream flavors are unique and the ice cream is loaded with mix-ins, which I loved. I wish there were more dairy free flavors available, but they did sell lactaid pills at the counter for those who have a lactose sensitivity. Overall, it was delicious ice cream.

Sugar Hill Creamery is by far the best ice cream in NYC! Whether you’re planning an ice cream social or catering a professional event, then this is your place. This family-owned, family-operated, business located in Manhattan has some of the most unique flavors you’ll ever experience. Plus, when the weather is colder, you can grab a cup of the best hot chocolate in the city. Whether you’re in the East Village or in Harlem run (don’t walk) to Sugar Hill Creamery!

Delish black owned ice cream shop.
Perfect portions for the price. And flavor I got, the vanilla bean was so good. Not overly sweet and had a homemade taste. I highly recommend!

Sugar Hill Creamery has the most unique and delicious ice cream in NYC! Their small-batch flavors are truly memorable, and you can taste the love and culture that go into every scoop. This family-owned and family-operated shop is such a gem in Harlem and the East Village. Beyond the incredible ice cream, they also offer professional ice cream catering and fun ice cream socials that make any event special. The customer service from their young team is always warm and welcoming, and I have to say—they also serve the best hot chocolate in NYC. Easily one of the best ice cream spots in Manhattan!

Best ice cream in Harlem

Uh huh! Yup. The ice cream was just what I was looking for. I savored the waffle cone with a scoop of vanilla bean on top and finished it off with the banana pudding. It was done before getting on the train at 125th street. That includes a walk with a short stop to whole foods market. I wanted to go back and get another one. But I have to watch my sweet intake babay! I just might go back and get another one today🍦🤣 it’s a new day. Go get you some!

I don’t go to Harlem, but when I do, I MAKE SURE I get Sugar Hill creamery. I will plan my trip around the time to ensure they’re open.

This is the best ice cream I’ve had in America and I love ice cream. The young lady who helped me the first time I went was so knowledgeable and patient.

The rotating flavors keep things exciting and also make it a little harder to choose but you’ll never be disappointed.

I am excited for fall flavors.

Sooo yummy! Definitely only go here if you are looking for something unique as they don’t do regular flavors like mint chocolate chip or cookies and cream. I got the Buggin Out with vanilla, chocolate, cherry, and Rice Krispies. Soo good! Very creamy and not too sweet because of the cream cheese base!

The Right Thing to Say is sour. I love that they had little lactaid pills at the counter I loved the blueberry cheesecake ice cream! Some very unique flavors, [someone admit that the salt and vinegar chips ice cream is their favorite.] Would definitely try again.

The caramel/cookie dough flavour was maybe some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had.

Sugar Hill Creamery is truly a gem in Harlem. After dinner with friends, we wandered in late at night and were surprised to find this charming shop still buzzing with energy.

I ordered a scoop of cookies and cream topped with caramel, and it was absolutely divine—smooth, creamy, and bursting with flavor. My friend indulged in a double scoop of chocolate, her favorite, and couldn’t stop raving about how rich and velvety it was. Even her husband, who didn’t order ice cream, appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary water available for guests.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with plenty of flavors to tempt us. I love that they stay open late; it makes for the perfect stop when you’re craving something sweet after an evening out. This was my first visit, but certainly not my last—Sugar Hill Creamery is the kind of place you can’t wait to return to.
