Sugar Mouse is hands down one of the coolest spots in the East Village right now. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between a playful game hall and a stylish bar — neon lights, great music, and tons of games (pool, ping-pong, foosball, board games — you name it).

The staff are super friendly and on top of things, the cocktails are creative and well-made, and the vibe just keeps you wanting to stay longer. I especially loved how it’s all-ages earlier in the evening but turns into a fun 21+ hangout later at night.

Whether you’re out with friends, on a date, or just want to unwind somewhere that feels a little different, Sugar Mouse is the place. Definitely my new go-to in NYC!

The bartender (caucasian dude, backwards hat, horrible attitude) scammed my friend by adding himself a $30 tip. He then refused to give me or my other friend a cup of water, I had to buy a water bottle - which is totally fine - but not when the bartender rudely refuses to give you water (which is illegal in the state of NY) but also tells you we can go somewhere else. This was my birthday by the way, never going back! The man should be fired. 1/10 experience

Went for a “rave” but there was only 10 very dorky people in the section of the party. The flier failed to mention that entry could be free. I definitely would not have paid if I had known. Overall vibe was weak. Maybe learn how to promote your parties to the right crowd? Everytime anybody saw these overdressed nerds, they bailed out of the bar.

I went to see a show, a benefit. Looks like a great place to play games and plenty of bathroom stalls. I was going to buy a drink and was reluctant because of the overpriced cocktails, so I was going to buy a beer. However the bartenders had their heads buried in their phones. Not to mention they have a “kill switch” on the stage monitors for the live set up which should be more enclosed. Ended up causing a real nightmare for anyone full band performing or trying to watch the show. They all put in a big effort to prepare for the show and for the bartenders to do that is just wrong. They shouldn’t have access to the sound. And the mixer needs to be on the opposite end of the room. Not next to the stage. If you’re playing solo acoustic you should be fine though.

Cool spot to grab some drinks before dinner, play some pool or ping pong, and listen to a live band. My gf is a pool shark, and hustled me badly. She's like the Viet Black Widow, but i still love her 😆

Very sexist bartender. I was verbally attacked for being a confident, pretty woman. The bartender left or was asked to leave after he confronted me. The other bartenders were very nice and apologetic for his behaviour.

I didn’t let this stop me from having a great night! This venue is awesome. Lots of room for games, live music & you can actually hear the people you’re talking to. Would definitely come back.

Such a fun vibe! From the pool tables to the foosball & the arcade games, my bf and I had a blast! Good music, tons of tv screens (covers the walls), great drinks and bar service! Saw they also have a stage area near the bar for shows & performances!

This message is for the Owner of sugar mouse. You have a beautiful spot with a great atmosphere however, the service is AWFUL. I’ve been everywhere in NYC and it’s so disappointing to see that such a fun spot is being ran by unqualified staff. The drinks were great, mozzarella sticks were amazing. All the screens to watch games were amazing but just very awful awful service. I hope the owner really makes changes because this place can be really great but I don’t see myself coming back until staff acts like they actually want to work because it seems like nobody is happy or want to work.CONTINUATION …. Thank you for your prompt response to be more specific about the service , for starters, as soon as we walked in we were like lost sheep nobody approached us we had to figure it out our own way number 2 we ordered at the bar and took a seat waited for 30 minutes returned to the bar only to find out our order wasn’t in . Mind you we were starving , her response was you walked away without paying. Very frustrating and self explanatory. In addition we ordered the pizza it came ice cold and it wasn’t even cut properly had to be one of the worst quality pizzas I’ve had. if I didn’t think this place had potential I wouldn’t even care to write this review. But Your employees are destroying your business !!!!!
