Sugarfish was outstanding! The sushi was unbelievably fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor. The staff were warm and attentive, making the whole experience feel special and memorable.

I got edamame and salmon nigeri. This place is not accommodating to allergies or a gluten free diet. Not having tamari or gluten free soy sauce in 2025 is a choice. The server we had was a little rude - slamming dishes and giving attitude. The whole place is a little snarky and pretentious with their “rules”. They don’t work for tips and it shows. Disappointing.

I went to this restaurant with my family because I had heard really great things about it. The food was good. But there was a woman, her name was Edna, who was so rude to us, kept rushing us throughout our entire service and seemed to have some sort of attitude towards us. I also noticed her treating her employees in a similar manner, maybe she’s one of the managers, I’m not sure. But everyone else that worked there was extremely attentive and kind… except her. I think this woman needs to redirect where her attention is going, and instead of picking on paying customers and her own employees, look inward. I left with a bitter taste in my mouth and sadly am not planning to return to this restaurant. I hope other peoples experiences weren’t as awful as mine and the large bill they had to pay at the end of their meal was worth it.

Warning, rice is hot and loose. not traditional to Japanese sushi whatsoever. It’s not stated anywhere on the website either, when you ask about the rices consistency the entitled and snarky waiters will try and educate you even if you’re asian and accustomed to good sushi. Fish was not even fresh enough to enjoy or justify the horrible rice and service.

Obsessed. The sushi was incredible, I’ve been dreaming of it since. The Trust Me lunch is the WAY! Love the warm rice.

Price-quality ratio is just unbelievable here. Great sushi, melts in your mouth. Very reasonable pricing. We always eat here when in NY. I wish we had SugarFish in Boston. This place is a no brainer!

This photo is a good illustration of the place. This detail shows attitude to food, to atmosphere. We were feeling that we ate in a fast food. Place is dirty, dirty plates were standing on our table for a while. The rice was very far from well cooked. Guests had problems to eat sushi. We will never comeback to the place

The food at Sugarfish was outstanding. Incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavors that really let the quality of the fish shine. The “Trust Me” menu was a perfect way to experience a variety of dishes.

That said, the service left something to be desired. While everything was timely and efficient, the staff could have been more warm and welcoming. A bit more friendliness would have made the overall experience feel more personal and inviting.

Still, if you’re here for top-notch sushi, Sugarfish absolutely delivers.
