The fish is fresh, and the price is really good, especially with the no tipping policy. The servers were friendly and helpful, and the timing and pacing of the service was great. However, the rice really lets the whole experience down; the rice temperature and quality was just so inconsistent, the nigiri kept falling apart, and the flavor wasn’t right. It really took away from the otherwise yummy fish.Overall, it’s not bad for the price, but next time I would probably spend more for better quality.

Sugarfish is so consistent in serving delicious, fresh, high-quality fish. It is also one of the most affordable omakase experiences you can have in NYC, particularly given their restaurant philosophy in which they pay their employees well and don't require costumers to tip.

For the price and the overall dining experience, sugarfish is really hard to beat. The food and service have also been consistently good. Definitely my must visit spot if I’m in New York and craving for sushi. For the portion, if you are an average person, Trust Me will fill you but not overstuffed which I think it’s the perfect amount.

The price for the pieces of fish we got was definitely reasonable. If you are looking for amazing sushi, I would recommend paying a bit more as the food was a little bit underwhelming. The rice was overpowering the fish and the hand rolls you can't taste the fish in my opinion. Also the in person experience is a little slow.

Super good and reasonably priced omakase sushi! It was a little salty though (too much ponzu sauce?). No tip policy as well :)

Loved it! We ordered the Don't Think Just Eat and were not disappointed. The nigiri was delicious, we especially loved the fatty tuna and the lobster! Can't wait to come back to try more!

Ok. So I dropped my chopsticks. And the server walked over, with a new pair, before I could even pick them up. This place is MINT.

How do they do it? Great fresh fish, in a lovely warmly lit space, at $43pp. The lack of tipping made me and my gf feel so welcome. Just a lovely experience all round.
