Small portions, mid food, terrible service. Don’t waste your time or money here
5 stars just for Wilson!!! He makes the best drinks! Specifically aperol spritzes and lemon drop shots!
Very attentive staff and great atmosphere !
However I left hungry as the pasta portions are very small for the price…yes tasty
Beautiful ambience and great food & drink
We went for brunch over the weekend. We did not have to wait for too long. The place is really nice and cozy. The service was great.
Everything we ordered was very good. Their options are limited but they change the menu every now and then. My only comment is that the portions are small. Not gourmet-restaurant small but smaller than I expected based on price and other Italian restaurants I have been to.
Such a beautiful place full of books, vintage china, and tasty drinks and food. Attention to details is in everything you experience here.
Excellent Italian food. The fusilloni nerano were a nice twist on a traditional Neapolitan spaghetti recipe (spaghetti alla Nerano), with fried zucchini and a nice touch of mint on top a very creamy sauce. The fusilloni were cooked perfectly. I had the eggplant parmigiana three times here and it has been consistently good. It’s not greasy and is very flavorful. It reminded me of old family recipes. Finally we also had burrata with artichokes. The burrata was great, but the artichokes really blew me away. Reminiscent of a traditional Jewish Roman recipe (carciofi alla giudia), the artichokes were deep fried in small pieces which turned them into crispy bites full of flavor. Kudos for finding the right variety of artichokes (small and soft, not large and chewy). Finally their bread basket was really good: the focaccia was crispy and airy, the grissini savory and crunchy. Highly recommended.
Wilson makes the best Aperol Spritz in NYC, trust my words. The menu is a bit pricey for my budget, but you shouldn’t skip the drinks. Totally worth it!
We had the most lovely experience at Sullaluna! I came for a spritz and small plates, which were delicious, but I can't wait to come back during the day for coffee! The bookshop vibe was so charming and the staff was so warm and welcoming. Brava!
Enjoyed a delicious meal here today with my friends. Every dish was done to perfection. The attention to detail was evident. Food actually tastes like food here. True story….we were headed to my friend’s 4 years old’s birthday party afterwards and hadn’t purchased a gift. We managed to get her 2 age appropriate books with a tote and it was gift wrapped right there for us. Wow!

I loved the concept! If you’re a book lover and enjoy Italian food, this place is a must. My husband and I went there for dinner and had a great experience. The dishes were delicious!
As an Italian expat in NYC (from Rome), this place really feels like home. First and foremost, the new Chef revolutionized their menu, and the dishes are not only authentic, but also delicious and with a touch of culinary art in both the presentation and play of Italian taste. I definitely recommend the parmigiana di melanzane - the best I had so far (and I am from Rome). I also highly recommend the Vitel Tonne (photo attached) - it's absolutely stunning! Their selection of Italian wines is also amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful, and their mixed-bookstore concept is innovative - watch out for their book presentation events! I went to several, and met many beautiful humans. Nota per gli Italiani/italiane a NYC: passateci, vale la pena. Lo Chef e' pazzesco, e il concetto di per se e' fantastico.
I had the most amazing time. Katja was so kind and receptive to all of my needs as a customer! Wilson served the best cocktails! I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for something cozy and reminiscent of true Italian dining and hospitality!
Amazing spot in the west village with such a cute concept. The food was to DIE for oh my god. The burrata and cacio e Pepe with artichoke in particular were some of the best I’ve had in the city. Seriously a cannot miss place to check out. The owner came by as well and was so friendly and even sent out a free appetizer!
Such a lovely atmosphere and great Prosecco!
