This is my go to local sushi spot. Everything tastes super fresh and the service is great. I usually order the three roll lunch special - eel avocado, salmon avocado and spicy salmon (50c extra for crunchy), with miso soup. It never disappoints, whether I sit in or order out. The only slight bit of constructive feedback I have is that the restaurant itself isn’t the greatest in terms of decor. But the food and staff are amazing.

Their lunch special is great and affordable. Their miso soup is delicious. And no kidding, they continuously deliver my order in under 15 minutes. No other sushi spot in the neighborhood compares!

Very reliable and fast with high quality ingredients, have become a go-to take out lunch spot for me. Their non-sushi food is as good as their sushi too, which is not typical for this kind of place. Great lunch specials as well.

It was a serendipitous turn of events - I received a menu in the mail yesterday, I had a $25 coupon from Seamless...and today I was ravenous for Japanese food. That stated, I ordered from Suma Sushi. I had the Yaki Nasu (grilled egglant), the Hijiki salad, eel avocado roll, crunchy salmon roll and yellowtail with scallion roll - all made with brown rice. They were all delish. I would have posted a pic, but it's all gone! The rice to fish ratio is generous - as in there is not an overstuffed amount of rice as at some restaurants. The delivery came on time and the delivery person was kind and courteous. I will be back.

This place should be 4.0/5.0 minimum. The food is very good, fast and inexpensive for Uptown Manhattan -- will definitely be back.

The food was okay, edible but bland. Went for the lunch specials and were limited for choices in comparison to other sushi restaurants. I was able to switch avocado for cucumber in the tuna avocado roll but still wish the choices were more varied as a whole. The California roll was just crab and avocado. The spicy tuna and salmon had no crunch.Server was friendly, prompt, and refilled water glasses as needed.I would not eat here again as choices are plentiful in the area.

I've ordered take out and picked up from this location and sushi is always on point! I ordered the kamikaze roll, shrimp tempura and California rolls all of which were delicious. While going to order for pickup I saw the sushi chefs prepare the sushi right in front of me, they seemed so focused. Their ingredients are so fresh and their care and precision is evident through their quality of work. The hostess was so kind to let me wait inside for my order, the space is small but quaint and cozy , really had a nice calm vibe to it. Sushi is so good I forget to take a photo of it before I dig in lol - This is my go to spot for sushi!

I've had sushi from many places this is by far the worse. The sushi rolls were coming apart ,the rice taste old and soggy, the avocado was turning brown and the salmon far from fresh. The taste and presentation was so disrespectful. My son loves sushi and he didnt even eat half of it.When I was ordering the host was telling me how 6 pieces come in one tray..what for idk. Point is if you know your sushi don't order from here you will be dissapointed.First and last time trying this place. Its closer to my apt so I thought I'd give it a try. Threw some away but picked out three from the trash for exhibition.Kouzan between 94th and 95th street has great sushi for similar price and they wont dissapoint.

Teriyaki chicken tasted like boiled chicken strips with a weak teriyaki sauce, tiny pieces of California roll. Miso soup was good, would not go here again. Nice staff and ambiance though

The service was fast. The waiter gave us water and took our orders and brought up everything very fast. The salmon tasted fresh. I love a good salmon avocado role and I could taste the salmon melting in my mouth. I also felt like the prices were very reasonable for New York, for 6 pieces salmon avocado it was $6!!The room was very small. It wasn't busy at all, there was one person there before us and another pepper came before we left. It was clean, fast, and a good price! I would come again for sure!

Got takeout and the sushi was tasteless and low quality. I got the spider roll and spicy scallop roll. Gyoza was soggy and tasteless. One star because my food arrived on time and the seaweed salad was decent. Would not order from here again.
