that is reality

The place needs to be cleaned, don't know why it is so dirty, saw dead roaches on the floor. Also, hot rice noodles on thin plastic is very harmful to health.

Unfortunately it was the worst rice roll in Chinatown. I got 2 of them with dry shrimp and we weren’t even able to finish it. Waste of money! Just go to Yi Ji Shi Mo or something else in the area!

Good food, but the strong heat from the food onto the plastic is not safe.

Some of the best traditional grab and go Chinese food in Chinatown. Please add as much sauce as you like. There is a reason why all the locals go here. Because everything on their menu is amazing.

This has been my favorite rice roll place for over a year. I usually get a pork rice roll and herbal jelly. There is a much longer line since they got more popular though. Still fairly quick, and reasonably priced. I can only go when my school has a half day, because they close very early (by my standards). Definitely recommend!

Came here late afternoon when they were getting ready to shut down and the lady was scrubbing the floors with the same plastic gloves used to prepare my rice roll order. At first i thought there was a cat running around in the back of the shop, when i realized it was actually a large rat, slowly perusing the machines in the back.... This place is filthy, there are roaches and waterbugs everywhere, and the ladies working in there don't even bat an eye at vermin that overuns the shop. I used to come here from time to time, but not any more. The sight of the rat and thought of the lady preparing my food with the same gloves used to scrub the rat infested floors was enough to make me sick to my stomach....

It was cool to see how they make the rice rolls fresh in front of you. I ordered the beef rice rolls and while they were cheap, there was barely any meat so I don't think it was worth it.

My 2nd time two Tuesdays ago right before they closed. First time I ordered the brisket and chicken rice rolls, both just okay, loved the brisket flavor with the scallions, but the actual meat wasn't very meaty. Second time I got the beef (really enjoyed) and the fish ball (didn't love flavor or texture) as always the rice noodles with the sauces are amazing, hot, fresh, chewy.

Sun Hing Lung didn't manage to tickle my fancy, but they seem to be a performing business nonetheless. The service was friendly and the food was served in a timely manner, so that's a beautiful start to the experience. The pork rice roll seems simple and filling, which it certainly is for its low price. I didn't find much flavor in it and the texture wasn't for me, but this seems like one of those cultural dishes that are known delicacies for the natives. The bits of pork that were included definitely helped with the texture and provided a small meatiness to what was otherwise soft and gelatinous. I experimented with a few sauces as well to see if it was able to grab my attention, but the taste of the rice roll itself seems pretty strong. While I wasn't a big fan of the rice roll, their menu is quite long. If you know your stuff about Chinese cuisine, pop by and maybe you can prove me wrong when it comes to Sun Hing Lung's hidden gems.
