No flavor in sushi; not a traditional bento box(there was no wasabi, ginger. They should have just kept the bento box simple like a California roll and goyza. Instead I received Nigiri, and ebi sushi. As a beginner to eating sushi I did not enjoy the sushi and I wish they told me the choices for bento box sides.); employees eating in the workstation and while preparing food(why :( )

I ordered Chicken Teriyaki Bento box for takeaway but they gave me the wrong food. I realized this later when I got back home and had to sleep with a hungry stomach because I did not know what type of meat they put in there. Service is terrible.

I honestly tried not to spend too much honestly money but somehow ended up with a $26 lunch. Good thing is that the food was delicious. It looks like a fast food place but they do bring the food to you as well as clean up for you. Knowing that I should have left a tip.

Sushi 1 is a wonderful place for succulent sushi. Cafeteria-style seating reminiscent of authentic Japanese bistro. A great place to grab a bite to eat.

I wanted to like this place but went away disappointed. I ordered the “Bestseller” consisting of 3 different half rolls and 2 pieces of salmon sushi. The kani (crab stick) roll had too much mayo mixed in while the sushi rice was mushy from adding too much water.Hopefully they will fix these issues before my next visit.

Pass this place up. The rice is old and not fresh. The fish isn’t fresh. It’s gummy and chewy and to top it all off it’s expensive for a joint. You’re better off eating at a NYC hot dog stand. One of the worst meals I’ve eaten!

This place made my stomach hurt for two days. It started 30 minutes after I ate the 20 piece salmon avocado combo. The rice was old and the salmon still had bits of skin on it. Don't think that's normal.

I absolutely love Sushi 1 don’t know if the gentleman is the owner that’s always at the register but he is amazing always accommodating me and let’s talk about fresh ???????? this is my togo place for sushi!!! Sushi chef is preparing everything in an open kitchen so u see the whole process took my husband here today for lunch ,he is such a fan of ele and he could not get enough that he had to order a hand roll to go !!! Truffle salmon to die for!!!!!! U can just get pieces, box and so much more but yet the menu is small and accessible for everyone to understand. THIS IS MY TOGO PLACE !!! SUSHI chef!!!! ??????????

Me: "Kai (my son), what's your favorite food? French fries? Hamburger?..."Kai: "Sushi!"I wish I could have given the same answer when I was a kid.I have great memories of cheap and excellent sushi in NYC and I told Kai about it before going there... Unfortunately, nowadays, NYC is way more expensive than it used to be and sushi in particular seems super expensive. But Kai does not care about money and he wanted sushi... after a few days of choosing food without asking him, he got to choose and, of course, he chose sushi. Fortunately we had walked by a sushi shop called Sushi1 that has good reviews and sells $1 sushi... So we ordered in.I couldn't find any $1 sushi on their Uber Eats page but maybe prices are different when you order in. Anyway it's still quite cheap for NYC (we paid about $60 for 3 with no dessert and ate enough) so no big deal. When the food arrived, I must say I was not confident as it didn't look very good. But it's just the look: both the rice and the fish are fresh, tasty and well prepared. The yellowtail and scallion temaki probably was the less good item but it was decent enough.A good option to eat sushi on a tight budget while in NYC.Quality & taste: 7/10Quantities: 7/10Atmosphere: n/aOriginality: 4/10Ratio price / quality: 8/10Service: n/aHow I felt afterwards: 7/10More on IG @runnerandfoodie

Decent taste but the size of sushi is noticeably smaller than average. No water served for dine-in customer as well

This place is amazing, starting with the food that it's so fresh and tasty, every bite of their sushi worth it. The service was amazing the guy who attend the register is so nice and he is really concern about all you need in the table. They really deserve 5 stars, really good experience
