I had an amazing first-time experience dining in at Sushi Gama! The staff was friendly (Elvin & Elaine took great care of me), service was quick, atmosphere was relaxed and cozy and most importantly...the food was delicious (I had the Any 3 item happy hour deal for only $29 which included a drink)! I sat at he bar top and was able to watch the chef make fresh sushi in front of me while also watching TV. Overall great experience and I'd highly recommend this place to everyone I know! Come check it out!!

I’ve been here countless times already, and to say that the staff is very attentive to their regulars is an understatement. Atmosphere is lively when you come during busy hours and peaceful during downtime but the food’s worth the wait and price regardless. Their lunch special is very affordable too! There really is no miss on the menu but I personally like the Wagyu Roll and Pad Thai.

I had an absolutely fabulous dinner at Sushi Gamma with Pim, Alvin, and Evan, and I can confidently say everything about this place is grade-A all the way through.
The sushi was exceptional — incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of clean, balanced flavor. Every piece felt deliberate, like the chef cared about both the quality and the craft. Easily some of the best sushi I’ve had in NYC.
The service was equally impressive. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm, without ever feeling rushed or intrusive. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they do, and it really elevates the whole experience.
And of course — Pim was amazing. Having someone who knows great food and great vibes only made the night better, and Sushi Gamma delivered on all fronts.
From start to finish, the dinner was flawless. If you’re looking for top-tier sushi with equally top-tier service, Sushi Gamma is a must. I’ll definitely be back.

A very good spot for sushi, with affordable prices and nice staffs. This place has been my favorite sushi spot in UES. If you walk by, you might think this is very boring/old place. However, if you taste its sushi! you will change your mind. They carry very fresh quality of sushi and other rolls. Also, offers lunch menu which has enough portions. Staffs are always nice, and I see regular customers all the time here! kids-friendly of course. Outdoor seats are possible when it's nice outside!

Definitely the best sashimi and nigiri in the area. Generous cuts and upscale fish selection that’s better than the typical sushi joint. Expensive, but worth the extra dollars. Bonus for incredibly fast delivery!

The food was good there. They have variety good quality fishes. However , the service there wasn’t so pleasant. I had this waitress that took our orders and didn’t show up for a long time . When we needed our water to be refilled , instead, she was sitting by the counter of sushi bar and watching her phone the whole time .

The Chinese lady counting cash at 10:20 PM on July 25, 2025 by the counter needs to be reprimanded. Hostile, unpleasant, and dismissive in her interaction with a customer. Utterly disgusting!!!!
Sent our $100 sushi order to the wrong address, if we hadn’t called we never would have gotten our food or our money. Avoid at all costs.

Unfortunately we were visiting from out of town very excited to try sushi gama and xin but to our sheer surprise the timings were not updates in google whatsoever. On google the timings are mentioned to be at 1:30 am we visited at midnight. All that we were met was with disappointment and hungry stomachs had yo rest a halal cart. Waste of time and uber trip :(
