The most beautiful meal I have ever experienced. Our chef Nobu was so lovely. I will never forget this!
When we arrived, we were informed that we had a 1 1/2 hour time limit which we did not know ahead of time. This is a very expensive restaurant, so it is not polite to rush us. The waiter was very nice, but the host staff was extremely rude and continued to pressure us throughout our meal. I would not recommend to anyone as a result.
Good, but not great Japanese sushi. This restaurant is more of a cross over, as the menu also includes pork chops and other American comfort staples. A couple of the pieces of sushi were disguised by fancy fried wraps that they fish disappeared inside. Otherwise, the quality was good, not exceptional and prices on the high end.
Beautiful upscale sushi restaurant. Great ambiance, attentive staff and innovative cuisine. Definitely above par.
Once again the Modern Omakase 8 is amazing - the best sushi on the upper east side. The apps were great - seaweed salad and rock shrimp tempura (better thank Nobu). The service is awesome - everyone is happy, smart, friendly and knows the menu and the cocktails.
Sushi was very fresh and nice atmosphere for a night out. It is a nice date spot and they can accommodate a bigger group easily. Very friendly staff when I called to change reservation and service inside.
Excellent and imaginative omakase. Great service. Excellent sake list. An all round treat at a reasonable price.
No... Impossible to get a reservation ... Place was EMPTY! Should be... Go to take a fun photo by the door, eat someplace else. Food was disappointing to say the least! Overpriced... (drinks at bar were great... Service there sucked, not because they were busy, they weren't.)

Exceptional atmosphere and beautiful presentation. The omakase was fantastic. The price was not surprisingly reasonable for this part of the world. I will come back!

Food was good. But the cocktails were great!
There were a lot of young kids, like children which made it way too noisy.

Sylvia was a fabulous hostess for our business meeting. She described all the “courses” as they were served. Apparently a course is a piece of sushi, so the 15 course chefs selection was not as much food as I had feared! Great atmosphere, even fun. I'll bring my husband and teenage boys next time too.
We got the omakase. Chef Michael was amazing, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Each piece was absolutely amazing and the pairings were unforgettable.
