What an incredible meal! Get the quail egg special from the secret menu. The only thing better than the food was the chef’s incredible energy, positivity, and ability to connect with the customers.

An absolutely amazing experience. Every piece of sushi was meticulously prepared and so so delicious. Your mouth will go on a journey that will leave your taste buds unable to appreciate any other piece of sushi. This place is amazing and we'll definitely be back.

The chef is very cute and friendly. Love the food, will definitely visit again next time when I come to nyc. (The dessert yuzu saki was really delicious, almost bought a bottle lol. )

Had another fab time at this omakase joint. Chef Don Pham was at the helm again, and boy, does he know his stuff. It's like he's got a secret love affair with every fish he serves. The way he pairs everything up, you'd think he's a matchmaker for flavors! And yeah, they still play those 2000s hits, which kinda takes you back, doesn't it? Can't wait to swing by again for that extravagant, kinda non-traditional sushi magic they whip up.

Absolutely amazing omakase on the UES, the best I've ever had anywhere. The staff were masterful, knowledgeable and good humored. The whole experience was fantastic, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-tier omakase experience in NYC.

My friends and I were celebrating my birthday at Sushi Ishikawa last weekend, and unfortunately I was quite disappointed with my experience. The quality of the sushi was lacking. The fish tasted stale and lacked freshness, which is a crucial aspect of any sushi restaurant. The presentation of each course was over-compensating, heavy toppings, mix flavors.Furthermore, the service was rushing and inattentive. We didn't get our drinks until 30 minutes after we ordered. Our chef was professional, but seemed overwhelmed. We tried to ask for more details for each piece of sushi we had, but the staff seemed distracted and unresponsive to our questions. We didn't know what we were eating the half of the time.My favorite course is the dessert...The overall experience is 1.5 star. I wouldn't recommend here to others. The quality of the food and service here do not match its high price point.

These pictures capture the essence of this extremely hidden gem, making the experience akin to a treasure hunt. The effort put into finding it is rewarded with an exceptional Omakase. The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the quality, which ranks among the best I've experienced in NYC. I will definitely be returning.

One of my new favorite omakases in the city! Definitely not cheap as it is $175 minus drinks and tip but they did not skimp on ingredients. My friend that I came with was trying omakase for the first time and she was blown away and had a fantastic first experience. Everything melted in our mouths and they made us feel very comfortable. There were some unique pieces on the menu that were beautifully crafted.

During my last visit, there were several issues that significantly impacted my dining experience. The fish didn't taste fresh (fishy and discoloration), and the caviar was too oily (the lower grade of caviar); plus the cleanliness of the restaurant was not up to par, the restroom smelled like public restroom in Central Park.It was disappointing. I have eaten here three times and it's sad to see my friends were not impressed.

Best sushi I’ve ever had hands down, and the service was incredible. Only thing I’d comment negatively on is the unfitting music. But the sushi was so good that it really didn’t bother me. Truly high

Absolutely amazing omakase experience designed by Chef Pham with 17 pieces of "heavy hitters." They use the best ingredients, perfectly paired and beautifully crafted. Each piece is a work of art. This is not your traditional edomae omakase but rather offers a fusion twist with additions such as caviar, truffle, and even gold flakes. Every piece feels like a delectable blend of 2-3 pieces (example include the wagyu, foie gras, and truffle piece and an o-toro, akami, and caviar). We came for my birthday and they treated us to 2 glasses of rose each, which was unexpected and very gracious. Highly recommend and the service, quality and value is exceptional at $175 compared to what you would get at any other omakase venue for $150+. We will definitely be back soon.
