Very fresh fish with attentive staff and friendly chefs. Enjoyed the fish selection for omakase. $145/person. Would definitely recommend to others for an authentic omakase experience at a reasonable price
Fresh ingredients, friendly staffs with detailed explanations, and I had the best sushis ever :) I highly recommend anyone looking for good quality foods in UES.
Being here is truly an incredible experience. Every bit of food was perfect, you can tell it is extremely fresh and had so much care put into it. The combinations of ingredients and flavors were amazing! Satoshi is a master!
The service was also amazing. Jane explained the best way to eat and enjoy certain dishes and was so nice and attentive. Satoshi and Jane and everyone at the restaurant just make you feel so comfortable and clearly take joy and pride in what they do.
Sushi Jin is an excellent omakase restaurant. Not only do you get an excellent meal with detailed and attentive service, but you are being served by a chef who clearly cares dearly about his food and his customers. Everything felt personal and detailed, and he was always eager to answer questions about the food. The quality of the fish was also excellent. Much of the fish was flown in from Japan. All of it was cut perfectly. A lot of care is taken in the construction of each piece of sushi, and each dish overall.
Sushi Jin will be my first dinner when I return to New York.
Everything at Sushi Jin was stand-out from the quality of food and the expertise to the service. Not one detail was overlooked and the omakase was the best we’ve had in the city. Love that the space felt cozy and relaxed, but that the food quality was top notch. Absolutely recommend this gem for a date night or just to experience a one of a kind omakase.
My favorite omakase in NYC by far. Deserves to be on every top omakase list but for whatever reason a hidden gem!
Phenomenal meal. The quality of the seafood were on par with omakases I had in Japan. Each course was thought through well and I appreciate that the chefs use ingredients that were not only from Japan, but from other parts of the world. My favorite course was definitely the red snapper with citrus salt and australian fingerlime. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely will try to eat here again in the future.
Fantastic omakase, excellent flavors and friendly service. Can’t wait to go back.
This is the best omakase in UES, the creativity, the decor, the peaceful ambiance, authenticity, and the quality are unmatched. Highly, HIGHLY recommend, follow their ig for photos and seasonal items. Satoshi-San is one of the best itamae in town my friend. Run, don’t walk.
We have been to Sushi Jin many times, and it is always a wonderful experience. The sushi and other dishes are super fresh, mostly flown in from Japan. Because the chef's goal is to get the freshest ingredients, the meal is always different. Service and attention to detail is superb, as well as the explanations of the dishes. It is a small place with not many seats, which reminds us of some of the sushi restaurants we visited in Kyushu, Japan. It is definitely worth book, and we book whenever we are in the area.

Wonderful Omakase experience. The presentation of each dish was far beyond your typical Omakase and the quality of the fish was stellar.
Dietary restrictions: They are flexible with restrictions if you make the reservation early enough and they can plan for it.
