Pretty good but honestly their price range should rather be $90-120 based on what they serve. Costs $400+ for two ppl with tax + tip

Rainy day kind of happiness 🌧️✨
Had an 18-course omakase lunch with my husband today — and honestly, it was such a vibe. Quiet space, soft rain outside, and bite after bite of perfectly fresh sushi. 🍣
Japanese rice just hits different… but my top picks? Fatty tuna, aori ika, and kamasu — absolutely divine. 💫
Such a calm, healing little lunch date. 🥢💕

Sushi Makoto delivers one of the best omakase experiences in NYC!! The fish was incredibly fresh, and I loved how each piece was paired with just the right sauce or seasoning to bring out its flavor — nothing overpowering, just perfectly balanced. Highlights for me were the fatty tuna, Hokkaido scallop, and the otoro handroll, but honestly every course was on point.
The vibe is intimate and relaxed, with attentive service that makes the whole experience feel special without being pretentious. If you’re looking for an omakase with top-quality fish, thoughtful flavor pairings, and a smooth flow from start to finish, this spot is a must-try!!

This is the best sushi I had in a while. I wasn’t feeling well and was not a meh mood and the hostess Yu is the kindest and most hospitable I’ve had the pleasure of being served by in a while. You know as good the food and atmosphere of a place may be, there is nothing like good hospitality to just enhance the experience, the mood, and it even makes the food taste better. Thank you Makoto team for providing a refreshing step out of the craziness of NYC. I’m looking forward to come back for the omakase! Everyone do yourselves a favor and spend a little extra and go the distance and you won’t be disappointed!

Very good Omakase at NYC. We order the 18-course and add a lot for our dinner. The fish is flown in from Japan. It was very fresh and expertly prepared. chef will talk with u through the whole meal and had incredible attention to detail. There will have a book for the fish texture and flavor. Have good service at all.
