2nd time at Sushi Ryusei and it still is a solid, authentic choice for true Japanese sushi in the city. Our waiter was extremely cordial and helpful, as was the other staff that attended to our table. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we selected. All of the fish, edamame, salad and age tofu were wonderful. Our only issue was with one of the patrons sitting at a nearby table who was watching the World Series baseball game from his phone with his volume blasting which disturbed...

I come here very often and find the omakase so special. The sauces match each fish that is cut to absolute perfection and is so fresh every time. Oyama san is the best sushi chef and is iconic in the world of sushi in NYC. The staff is also attentive and lovely. Do not hesitate to try this place!

Have been here many times and the sushi is always amazing. Some of the best quality sushi. The fish is always fresh, the service is fantastic, and it’s easily one of the best hidden gems in NYC.
