Our party of 4 had a couple appetizers, a variety of nigiri, a sashimi platter, and a salmon teriyaki dinner. Appetizers of edamame and fried oysters came out quickly. The fried oysters look like they are heavily battered but they aren't. The batter is sturdy enough to hold a shape but isn't heavy. They were fried well and not chewy or overdone. Entrees took a while to come out, maybe 20 minutes after the appetizers, but worth the wait. All the sushi and sashimi was...
First, food is amazing. Also I like here because they have a choice for à la carte. It might be good point for Japanese. As you know, “Omakase” in Sushi restaurants is one of culture in Japan. At the same time, there is a culture that we eat own favorite sushi with Miso soup at the end. This is the “Shime” culture. I return to here soon.
I think this is one of the best Japanese sushi restaurants in Manhattan. Omakase is the way to go to sample Chef Oyama's amazing cuisine. I highly recommend a visit to Sushi Ryusei!!
