Outstanding omakase, simple and allows the fish to shine. Chef was so passionate and entertaining and the music / atmosphere. We sang George Michael and had such a fun night.

Sushi You is a hidden gem! It’s like stepping back in time to my hometown in Japan. The service is top-notch, the food is delicious, and the drinks are refreshing. Highly recommend it!

This place was so overrated. We ordered omakase at first. It comes with 10 pieces of sushi and one handroll. To my surprise, they made us teeny tiny pieces of sushi. The negitoro handroll was also ridiculous. The negitoro was still ice cold inside and put on top of warm rice. Can’t taste any flavor because of the temperature of the negitoro. Follow up - I felt very sick and puked after 4 hours of having dinner at this place. I recalled that the fried chicken we ordered at last tasted weird. Very salty and strong seasoning to cover the weird taste of the chicken meat. Now, I puked. Definitely, something wrong with the food!
this place is amazing and a gem. whomever does not give this place less 5 stars does not know sushi. i looking at you y.w. !

i love everything about this restaurant. it's one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city. There is not a single piece on the menu that i didn't love. The service is really warm and welcoming. And i love its low-key , a lttle 80th atmosphere. I've been coming there for years, but it never gets old.

I went to Sushi You last weekend and it was delicious! It’s definitely a hole in the wall restaurant so hard to miss but if you are lucky enough to find it, you are in for a treat! The restaurant is run by the sushi chef couple and you can definitely sense the authenticity. They make you feel like you are just invited to their house for some good food! I got the omakase and also the hot food. The quality was amazing so if you are in the area, please go and treat yourself!

Revised to 5 stars (lol). The food is delicious! They also have a variety of Japanese sake. It's a slightly unusual and manic shop that plays Japanese and American music videos from the 1970s and 1980s. Happy for the old man generation?.

Best sushi and omakase experience I've had in 13 years in NYC. Sushi chef and staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating. Sushi was unreal, drinks great, and a really authentic/comfortable feel. Will be back! Also love the nod to wrestling!

I was brought here by a colleague who is a regular here. There was no sense of flavor arrangement unique to New York sushi, and I enjoyed the fresh ingredients as if I were in Japan. The seaweed was handled well, and the sushi was especially delicious with salmon roe and salmon. The noodle salad and egg rolls are also recommended. Only the takowasa felt like it lacked a bit of punch even with the addition of wasabi.Although it is American rice, the balance of rice and vinegar is just right for the toppings, and I would definitely come back again during lunch time.

Maybe the best meal experience I’ve ever had. I could happily listen to Miku san talk about sushi and wrestling during every meal!
