This sushi restaurant left a deep impression on me. Their sushi is delicious and soft and glutinous, which gives me an endless aftertaste. At the same time, their production process is excellent, and each sushi is carefully made and matched, will come back for sure.

This is my second time here and it is by far the best omakase experience I’ve ever had in NYC. It was an intimate experience with an incredible chef. Frankie is amazing at his craft and puts so much care into every detail. I highly recommend the 15 course meal.

One of the best omakase experiences in NYC!The courses are very unique. My favorite is the scallop paired with uni and white truffle, a perfect fusion of flavors ?.The lobster nigiri is enhanced with a shiso leaf tempura in the middle, adding a crisp texture ?.The bottom layer of the toro donburi includes crispy black rice, offering a rich and layered texture, with the top layer of roe providing a resilient sensation, bursting with joy between the teeth and lips. The courses are valuable with truffles, sea urchin, foie gra and caviar all being high-quality ingredients. The environment is elegant and cozy, suitable for dates or private gatherings with friends and family to enjoy a comfortable Omakase Must try‼️

Not recommended at all. What you get is not traditional Japanese sushi, despite the restaurants menu suggests. There is nothing wrong for the nationals other than the Japanese to offer sushi. My issue is this place pretends to be something that it's not. That's a deceit. For that, I give one star. Major let down and disappointment. Food - Subpar preparation lacking some basic sushi basics, such as cooling sushi rice down to room temp, or having cold refrigerated fish warm up before making nigiri or sashimi. Mediocre ingredients for the price. Too much sauce and hand torching, without letting the taste of fish come alive. This place gets an F for food...I would never come back Service - OK attentive service. Gets a B Ambiance - They tried to make it feel like a Japanese sushi bar but there is something quite odd about the overall layout, use of space and proportions. Gets a C. There is a much better sushi bar for less price near by--Tatsuda...much better ingredients, progression, dedicated chef, etc.

I've been meaning to post this review!!! My husband and I had an amazing experience here! Everything was delicious and like a work of art! Great ambiance! The service is amazing. Chef Frankie made it an awesome experience!! He was so nice and even made something special for my husband when he let the Chef know he didn't like a certain fish. We WILL be back when we are in NYC again!! Please open a location in Los Angeles!!

I absolutely adore Sushiichi and Chef Frankie. This was my second time ordering the 15 course menu and it’s truly amazing. The courses are each beautiful, creative and the flavors are unique but meld perfectly. I brought my two siblings with me this time for their first omakase experience and they were blown away. What Chef Frankie creates is complex yet approachable and is exceptional in quality (and even more impressive when you consider the price point). And the service? Wonderful. Chef Frankie and the waiter (whose name I regrettably did not catch!) are warm and kind, making you feel absolutely at home. You can tell Chef Frankie has such a passion for what he does and is so gracious in sharing his talents. I can’t wait to come back and to continue recommending this place to friends!

THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST STELLAR omakases I've ever enjoyed!!! Chef Frankie's flavors are simply fire. And the upgrade for the 15 piece omakase is totally worth it in terms of the quality & flavors!! I'm still drooling thinking about the little touches that all together added up to a truly memorable experience -- like the in house pickled young ginger that explodes with flavor, the knock your socks off scallop with truffle sauce, the most thoughtfully layered donburi I've ever had! I wish I could eat here every month! And oh - the space itself is beautiful. Minimalist, but warm with beautiful touches. If you care about big flavor and beautiful textures in your food, you must get a seat at Chef Frankie's bar!!!

First time omakase experience and it was fantastic. From the food to the ambiance and staff - everything was wonderful. Fish was fresh and flavorful. Small quaint place. Chef very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend and go again!

Nice addition to the neighborhood. It's a 12 or 15 course omakase menu. Tough choice on which one to order and I think it'll depend on what's on the menu for the day (ask the chef!).They seem to have a good source for their sushi as we had many interesting niguri such as the tasmanian salmon, Norwegian scampi , Canadian lobster and a really nice super premium Hokkaido uni. The dishes all had a nice clean flavor style where you weren't overpowered by too many ingredients but still could pick out unique tastes like the baked garlic and olive leaves on the pike.Simple space and friendly staff and worth a visit!
