If the hotel stay is anything at all like the food, I'd move out of my apartment and live here full time. The tiramisu in particular was absolutely spectacular, and the service was a treat. If you told me God Himself placed this cafe on Earth as a gift to mankind, I'd believe you. I've never been moved to tears by food before. But today? I cried more than a man ever has. Absolutely spectacular, I'll be returning soon.
Oh- and the place is a veritable gem of historical artistry. Give it a walk through during your visit. You won't be disappointed.

I went to Sweat Dreams and wasn't sure about how it was going to be, since the actuall restaurant is in a back door which felt creepy to me. I was wrong when I thought that I won't enjoy the food... it was SOOOO GOOD!! The service could be improved. But overall wad a great experience!!

This is definitely a hidden kosher gem! If you're looking for a personal dining experience in a historical setting this is the place to go! The owner waited on us while we had lunch, giving us detailed explanations of each dish and how they're prepared. You must get the eggplant parm, the kugelini, and focaccia! The baked goods are all made in house (owner's wife was baking fresh batch of cookies while we were there) and you need to get the focaccia to soak up all the delicious red sauce! The focaccia is on par with any non-kosher establishment's focaccia. Very light and airy. Looking forward to stopping by the next time I'm in the LES!

Sweet dreams cafe was not just a delicious meal but an amazing experience. The service was impeccable and the proprietor as well as all the staff were an absoloute pleasure to interact with. The cafe is incredibly unique combining fantastic cuisine with galleries featuring beautiful artwork and historical artefacts for a truly immersive experience. I am so grateful we stumbled across this charming restaurant and I look forward to returning on my next trip to New York.
The restaurant is not open when it says it is, the chef/owner comes in when he feels like it. We drove all the way down from the Bronx to eat here for the first time, and were informed by the clerk that despite the fact that we showed up at 1, prime lunch time, the chef had yet to arrive and wasn’t sure when he would.

Made a special trip down here. Arrived at 1 o’clock, and the restaurant was not open even though the time posted on the website was 11 AM. The hotel manager was a delight. Not honoring your hours and wanting in whenever you want to on any given day is no way to run a business. It doesn’t matter how good the food is if you can’t get it.
