I went there for dinner tonight with my fiance and we were treated like royalty, the owner and his family served us a scrumptious authenticly Italian mea and gave us a tour of the restored Blue Moon Hotel. It felt like we were stepping back in time yet with all the conveniences of modern day luxuries. Thank you for a memorable evening.

This is a new find for us and what a gem. After a trip to Rome, we longed to find a kosher Italian menu that reminded us of our trip. Sweet Dreams Cafe did not disappoint. I recommend the loaded salad, minestrone, and the focaccia. The focaccia, dense, slightly chewy, and crispy along the edges, is delicious and redolent of olive oil and rosemary. The fresh mozzarella, homemade and served with the Caprese Salad with pesto and a balsamic drizzle, is divine. But the lemon tiramisu is so good, it deserves a standing ovation. Thank you for a beautiful meal! We will return!

This is a one of a kind place to eat lunch or dinner. You will be welcomed warmly, treated to an array of homemade, fresh, authentic dishes. If you eat kosher, this is an incredible find on the lower east side. If you don't - it's still worth a visit!

We had an amazing experience eating kosher, homemade, Italian dishes last week in this restaurant/cafe on the Lower East Side. It is located inside the Historic Blue Moon Hotel. The small hotel and restaurant is family owned and run, and each family member attended to us with focus, care, and personal attention. The walls are adorned with family artwork and they played live classical music on the piano as we sat and ate our leisurely lunch. What a transforming experience - the atmosphere was so personal and intimate, the conversations were delightful and informative, and the food was delicious. I'd highly recommend taking time out to enjoy the Sweet Dreams Cafe!

Sweet Dreams Café is a charming spot where the friendly staff and warm ambiance immediately make you feel at home. The décor is a delightful mix of artistic and historic touches, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for a relaxing meal. We sampled a variety of dishes, and each one was a standout, especially the sweet potato gnocchi paired with savory mushrooms, which offered a perfect balance of flavors. The pesto orecchiette pasta was cooked to perfection, and the focaccia bread on the side was simply divine. For dessert, we enjoyed both the cannoli and the ricotta cheesecake, each offering a delightful end to our meal. Whether you're looking for a place with great food or a cozy setting, Sweet Dreams Café is a must-visit, especially with the added bonus of being certified kosher for those who need it. Highly recommended!

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff seem very racist and rude. The staff made us feel very uncomfortable.
