I had a fantastic experience at Sweetgreen today! I decided to try the Spicy Reset Bowl, and it was exactly what I needed—fresh, flavorful, and packed with a great kick. The combination of the blackened chicken, creamy avocado, and that crisp apple crunch made for a perfectly balanced meal. What really made my visit stand out, though, was the service. I was assisted by Akellia B., who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. It’s rare to get such high-energy, friendly service at a fast-casual spot, and she made the whole process seamless. When did this store require confirmation of order plus I.D.? The lady asked for confirmation of my order. I showed her my order in my sweetgreen app which clearly showed the details of my order. She then asked for photo ID. I asked if people were stealing orders or if it was because I was Black and she just stared at me. I pointed out others who weren’t being stopped. She said a lady (Asian) that walked in behind me had been checked. That didn’t appear possible given the lady walked in behind me and the employee’s nearest coworker was on the other side of the shelf behind her. A man (White) walked in and was asked but he just walked out and no one said anything. Which I will do if I order again.
Put a sign on the door saying all pickup orders will be ID’ed instead of selectively choosing people to check.

Sweetgreen is my go-to salad spot. This location is conveniently located in midtown, so I stop by occasionally after yoga or aerial classes. Even though there aren’t many tables, I’ve generally been able to grab a table.
I usually get the Harvest Bowl with some customizations, but got Choose Your Own this time with: - Bases: spring mix, herbed quinoa - Toppings: cucumber, tomatoes, apples - Premiums: miso glazed salmon, shaved parmesan - Dressings: lemon squeeze
The addition of the miso glazed salmon bumped up the total to $19.82, but it was really nice. I realized afterwards that I could’ve added one more topping for the same price. Maybe I’ll try the Miso Glazed Salmon Plate next time.

Today i go for lunch. Usually the guy made the chicken avocado runch for me which was perfect ratio. Today this girl (angry face one) put a lot of onion pickle that i cannot even eat another bite (so sour). The only reason people choose healthy foods is the ability of making it delicious.
