I would leave zero if possible. I dealt with an employee named Marlon. He was a horrific host salad maker and a crook at the register. I had an order online for $13 and when he rang it up it somehow cost me $20 as an employee here at Rockefeller center and when I showed him the order he did nothing about it. I wound up spending $20 on a $13 salad. All thanks to an individual named Marlon. Avoid him at all costs. Worst employee ever. Oh and by the way I didn't eat him yet a protein on this green salad

Great place for a salad in the iconic Rockerfeller Center. Working nearby I get lunch there most days. The staff are mostly very good. The food is mostly on point.

3 1/2 Stars... UPDATE 11/09/2025: I've been coming to this location since it opened at Rockefeller Center. I grab a salad about three(3) times a week. I've never had a bad experience, that being said, most days are average. Some days the food is better than others, hence, my initial 3 1/2 stars review. The store is always clean, the food is always fresh, and the service is always nice. There are a few workers that stand out. They go far beyond the call of duty to offer White Glove Customer Service.(( Delaney, Felix, Ishmael, Nadia and Tomas )) The overall staff is exceptionally professional and clearly enjoys their work. They are constantly working well together, communicating effectively, and even sharing some friendly banter. It's truly pleasant to witness. It's my pleasure to change my review from 3 1/2 Stars to 4 1/2 Stars.

Rude and insufferable employees. They are busy talking to each other instead of paying attention to the customer. And purposefully speak in a low tone when it’s too loud to hear. The cashier didn’t offer a receipt and walked away before I was even finished paying. The food (limited item) was cold on top of all that. I get that it’s a busy nyc location but the attitude is not it. Won’t be going back there.

I went to this place in Midtown, it was terrible. I didn't even buy the salad, they made it and I was at the register and she told me how much it was. They were selling a $2 salad for $18 FOH, I told her sorry I don't want it. They asked why? What's wrong with it? I said look at it? It's trash. She turned around and through it in the garbage, I walked out. For the birds........was literally a handful of kale and lettuce, a tiny scope of not fresh looking little watery tomatoes, some awful looking shopped up nasty chicken, a spoon full of fake Parmesan cheese, and some dressing. Really a joke. It didn't even fill half of that small container. $18!?!? Do better! This was the location at Rockefeller Center.
I recently ordered a meal and mistakenly ordered it for pickup. I immediately called to cancel but Sweetgreen said that 1 minute was too late to cancel because it was an ASAP order. Then I had to wait 2 hours for my reorder to be delivered although that was an ASAP order. When I complained to customer service all I kept getting was automated responses saying they understand how frustrated I must be feeling. Terrible customer service. Just salad for me from now on.

This was by far the worst Sweetgreen location I’ve visited. I order from SG regularly for work and have always had good experiences. I was in the city fairly recently and decided to give this location a try but was left utterly disappointed. A line server with green hair gave me unnecessary attitude, they also messed up my order which I normally wouldn’t make a big deal about because it happens but paired with the bad service it left a bad impression. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this location.

I found a bug in my salad, and all they offered was a refund to my credit-no apology from the manager. Extremely disappointing experience. I'll never order from Sweetgreen again, especially not the Rockefeller Center location.

Unless you watch over their every move this place makes constant mistakes and does not handle your order with care. Just because you are located in a busy work area does not mean you can provide salads with minimal quality and care! For the price each order should be carefully made and you should listen to your customers. This place is all about 100% speed and 10% quality. If you pre-order it's even worse and they wont even bother to mix it.
