I love the concept but the rice was just so overcooked and none of the fish had much flavor. I ordered one item to stay and one to go and both were just extremely underwhelming. For the price I would have gotten it again if the rice wasn't so bad. Service was fine. Nothing too friendly but not rude either. Place is cute with a single long bar type seating.
My recent visit to TABERU NOMU was an absolute treat! I started with the Pickle Vegetable and Seaweed Salad, both of which were refreshing. The standout dishes for me were the Katsurahama and Kataonami; the former a delightful mix of salmon, hotate, ikura, yellowtail, tuna, ika, botan ebi, and shiso leaves, and the latter a luxurious combination of crab, ikura, uni, and shiso leaves served over rice. Came around 9pm on a weekend. There were only a few people inside so we didn’t have to wait. We got the Enoshima & Katsurahama donburi’s in the small size. Not sure if it was because it was the end of the day or something else, but I don’t think the quality of the fish was that great?
