This is a review for their brunch only. Their eggs Benedict and French grand slam subpar. Nothing special but nothing bad, it’s a great place if you’re hungry and enjoy small cafe/restaurant vibes. Service was great and the servers were very attentive. Overall I wouldn’t come again unless it was to try their lunch or dinner menu.

Best French restaurant in the area
Found my new favorite NYC French spot, perfect for an outdoor dinner date. Great service and a cute out door and indoor setup. Here are some must try dishes:
💦 Bouchot Mussels saffron, rouille, crostini
🍝 Ricotta Cavatelli w/ sweet italian sausage
🦆 DUCK A L’ORANGE (Thursday Plat du Jour)
🍓 Strawberry Shortcake Scone (absolutely unreal and a must must try)

Small, cozy restaurant that serves French-American breakfast dishes, Hamburgers and Sandwiches for Lunch. It is not particularly „French“. Food is good, so is the service. Three stars for the prices: a cappuccino for 9$, Hamburger 32$. That makes 50$ incl credit card surcharge, tax and tips. Well, it’s NYC.

Ive been eating here on and off for 20 years. We were really disappointed today at Easter lunch. Our server was flustered and not very good. She spilled water, forgot to serve the mini muffins and was too all over the place. The onion soup was flavorless, my sons steak was missing the hollandaise sauce and the strawberry shortcake was basically 2 oatmeal cookies warmed over cream and stewed strawberries. Nothing to write home about. I think this place needs a serious overhaul.

My family and I are still reminiscing about an amazing dinner we had at Chez Janou in Paris last year and thought it would be a treat to go to Table D'Hote for a lovely Easter brunch. We've lived on the UES since the early 80's and this was singularly the worst brunch we've ever had. Anywhere. Out of two orders of Eggs Benedict and one Roland Garros, we wound up with six hardboiled eggs. In addition, my daughter's sausages were so overcooked (read burned) that she couldn't cut them. We asked that they re-do the four eggs from the Eggs Benedict and, after 10 minutes, they plopped one dripping poached egg on each of our two salads. They said two more would be coming. I asked for some Hollandaise sauce for those soggy, pathetic eggs and they said it was Easter and everyone ordered Eggs Benedict and they didn't have anymore. I said forget it, sent mine back and skipped Easter brunch altogether. Instead of taking our dishes back and making them properly, they brought bits and pieces so that no one was eating together. Instead of conversing, some were eating, some were waiting and I just wanted to go home. No apology, nothing but a bad experience. I understand that the chef/owner must not have been in the kitchen that day, but fair warning should be given so that people don't waste their money or precious family holidays.
To be fair, the potato leek soup was fantastic and the atmosphere is charming, but all-in-all this was nothing but a one-star experience.

Cozy French bistro in the Upper East Side. Make yourself comfortable with delicious French cuisine. If you can’t decide from their menu use the Plats du Jours as your guide.
I recommend pairing your plate with one of their wines. A limited but well balanced selection.

Cute place but a rough lunch. Ordered the hamburger a cheval which came without any bacon, egg or cheese. They did bring us those toppings but then we realized the burger was very undercooked. Sent it back and this time it was cooked medium and had the toppings but very dry, strange flavor. The chopped chicken salad was pretty solid. Would come back and try other menu items but for a $34 burger I was unimpressed.

Room of modest size, welcoming and clean. Well prepared and good quality dishes. Friendly and smiling staff. The onion soup is excellent. Prices a little high but the place is worth trying.
