2 for 1 Taco Tuesday!
Very family friendly
Big fan of their crispy baja fish taco; but it is pretty pricy at $7 apiece. IMO, their other tacos not worth the steep prices. The carne asada was sad looking and tasteless (and cost $6.50!) and the al pastor was dry. Great place for fish tacos; but for all other tacos, stick to Los Tacos, which is both cheaper and better.
About a year ago, I took a friend visiting from out of town, and the dining experience was painful.
We were forgotten by the server before we could even put in our order and forgotten again repeatedly throughout the whole evening. Eating there that night took hours. When I finally went in to pay the check (because we were forgotten again), it was like they knew how bad it had been and were relieved we were leaving.
I still love the food at Tacombi, but I'll never take anyone there again, and I'm not excited to go there myself either.

Tried the Califa de Leon thing, not worth it at all. The taste is alright but the portion size for the price is not good. $14 for the attached picture.

I came because of the advertisement for the “Califa de León taco.” Honestly, I think they used a macro camera for the picture, as the taco looked huge, but when I received it, it was small and filled with fat. Also, on the order form they gave me, I requested some esquites that never arrived. Later, I ordered some shrimp tacos, and I’m sure that during Taco Tuesday they serve them with more filling. However, on this Sunday, that wasn’t the case, as you can see in the photo.

Growing up in Los Angeles. I have been on a quest to find the best tacos out on the east coast. These were mid at best. Only one worth it was the birria taco. The others didn’t meet my expectation for a good taco. Cold tortilla, dry meat, and lack of seasoning.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Absolutely terrible service, it wasn’t even busy and we had to wait forever for the waiter to come around, he forgot multiple things, multiple times. On top of it all the food is lacking in flavor and super basic/boring. Will never return or recommend.

This place has horrible service. Took 20 min before someone came over to our table. The tacos for the Michelin star event they had for a limited time were terrible and inconsistent. They have a huge space on the UWS and do nothing with it. I would not go to this restaurant under any circumstance. Was excited to come here but nothing good u can say about this.

I wanted to love this place but it was so disappointing. We waited over 30 min for someone to take our order and when we did eventually get our food, it was dry and lukewarm. There are so many better taco trucks that are far worth the money than this place!

I ordered non-spicy food, don't believe the waiter, the food is spicy. If you like spicy this is the perfect place.

As I sit here live eating my 2 quick taco lunches (about to travel back home). I had to quickly review this spot because this is actually my first time here.
So I’m about to leave soon. But I must say, this place is pretty damn cozy, great ambiance. I was immediately greeted by the waiter and seated quickly (since there was plenty of open seats before those huge Friday night crowds engulf the streets). But overall the taste of the Pollo taco (with the ingredients) was amazing. Tender, juicy and the right amount of protein. The Baja taco….nice, light and crispy. Tasted fresh for sure, the cabbage and the poblano mayo was my favorite! The corn tortilla was the BEST CHOICE for both tacos. Now the seating reminds me of an old school dance hall (an adult high school cafeteria but family friendly…just don’t order any liquor). The bathrooms are clean (men’s bathroom). The place looks well maintained overall. Staffs and everyone are professional 100%. You can definitely bring a friend or 3, a date and family!
