I'm here trying to do a review and also eat my food all up. My daugther was hungry so I said chicken tacos. She enjoyed it and so did it. Everything was fresh, hot and customer service was kind and made it the way I wanted it. The menu is growing so look forward to that because everything so far has been great.

Yesterday, I was let down by the Tacombi establishment that I frequently go to. They have always served their tacos with one tortilla, however, yesterday I witnessed the gentleman in front of me receive two tortillas by simply asking. If I knew this was an option, I would've asked for two tortillas all along. My tacos fall apart easily, and I am frustrated this was not offered to me sooner.

What's with these reviews? This place is amazing. The prices are amazing. Al pastor is completely on par with the best of CDMX. Confused. I have kind of avoided their larger restaurants in the past, but stumbled upon this place, while I was looking for quick food before a concert and it was amazing. Maybe the best tacos in New York City

This Tacombi is more like Tacombi Counter/In and out! Just tacos and they're great! The menu refresh a while back was needed, if you went here when it first opened, and not been back since, come back.The tacos are cheap, all of them are great.. fish, birria, Al pastor are top notch, the steak is so simple and initially I was like mm I dunno, but the more I get it the more I crave it.. The chicken and longaniza are good too, not my fave of the lot, but still would reorder.. but I'm sure others faves.Been going to the likes of los taco and Rodriguez for years and this has slowly made it's way to being my favourite spot of the lot
The best birria and al pastor tacos in Manhattan. Yes, better than los taco no 1. The birria taco is juicy, not too cheesy, and has a deep flavor of guajillo which will have your eyes rolling back. The al pastor has a charred chili flavor with a sweet acidity from the pineapple. The tortillas are also amazing. Hands down my favorite taco place thus far! Better than Texas.

The best tacos in the entire US and I've been all around. The Al Pastor and Birria are to die for and the agua fresca was great too. This place is painfully underrated and I feel bad for the staff ready to make people the most delicious tacos and they come in here and ask for chicken or something. People, Mexican food is Birria and Al Pastor, not chicken. Now go in there and order the right thing for once.Vegetarian options: Sweet potato and bean tacos look really good and plenty of other veg selection

Only gave it a 1 star because the staff was really nice. The food is horrible. I ate 2 tacos,a chicken and steak taco and they had no taste at all. I tasted the meat with a fork to see how it taste and it had no seasoning at all. It's like they just took it and cook it without putting anything on it. Even with onions it still sucked. It's not worth a dime to be honest. You want good tacos with seasoning and taste for the same price go to los taco number 1. They have that name for a reason. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR 16 dollars here. just don't.
Such an incredible experience. The food is quick, the tacos are divine and the margaritas are been better!! The happy hour is insane - run, don’t walk here. I love this place and love going back here with friends! You can definitely share a taco between two, so you can get more. The corn is yum and the fish and birria taco are musts. Maybe skip on the guac and chips, nothing amazing and get more tacos!!!
Great place for tacos ! The Al pastor it was just like I remembered from Mexico City and The birria taco is one of the best birria tacos I’ve ever tried. Super friendly staff and the Manager/Chef shared with me about the beginnings of tacombi !Super fun place we will be back⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

TL;DR: Flavorful tacos and fast service in a tiny restaurant with no seating or public restroom.Employees were friendly and good music was playing over the retro stereo system. The tacos are approx $6 with the pork taco being $1-2 less than all the others. Don’t let the lower price fool you, you’re getting a great pork taco with tons of flavor.This location has counters but no stools, so you’re supposed to stand, eat and drink, and leave.
