My experience at Tacombi Flatiron gets better and better with each visit. Austin and his team are on top of it, and the team in the kitchen serves up delicious and reasonably priced food !! They also added zero proof cocktails to the menu !! Be sure to buy tortillas to take home with you !!

Waited 50 minutes after pickup time. Every time I've dined in, İ am ignored. The tacos are fine, but not great and the hot sauce is not good at all. Will probably never go back purely because İ am treated like trash.

Excellent food and super fast service... Maybe I'm going to exaggerate but after placing the order I waited a period of between 3 to 4 minutes and my dresser was on the table... excellent workers, excellent food, excellent service and atmosphere super...100% recommended ?

My cousin and I went for the "Michelin level" experience, which is dine-in only. There were only 2 options, pork and beef. Its basically a slice of meat on a corn tortilla. You get 2 tacos for $15. We were underwhelmed. The spicy margaritas was okay but not spicy. We asked for jalapeño slices to add to our drinks. They weren't spicy either but the drinks were okay otherwise. The corn esquites was delicious, however, and the service and atmosphere was great. Overall, not a fan. I've had better for less.

Bad customer service. We are 2 guys and asked right away for seperate checks, he told us no. I said I will sit at a table by myself then. He said he could divide the check based on what dollar amount we tell him. Then we asked for our own tiny salsas. I don't want to share that tiny salsa with my coworker. He told us no. Have to finish the one on the table he brought before getting another one. Food was full of cabbage and little meat. It was also missing the beans. Chips are hard as a rock and super thick. Very old tasting and cold. Guacamole was great! We ended up paying separately at the bar. I will not go there again!

Came for the El Califa de León pop up and was extremely disappointed, similar to all the other pop-up reviews.

Ordered several plates of the chuleta and bisteak and they did not taste marinated or seasoned. Salsas verde and roja were tasty but did not make up for the dry, unflavored meat. Also ordered esquites (on the regular menu) which were well made.

Restaurant is clearly understaffed for the added demand of the pop-up, we had to go to the kitchen to get salsa after the servers forgot and stood in line to ask a host for the bill after we could not locate our server for 30+ min. Not worth more than 15-20 min to try the pop-up.

I loved my experience here and being at the bar was amazing. Just being able to see the food and tortilla being made is great. I enjoyed my experience. I will definitely be back. Also I loved our waiter as well.

I was really excited to try the El Califa de Leon menu and was not impressed. I also tried the birria taco. When the tacos arrived to the table they were cold, and I had to request the homemade sauces because for the El Califa tacos - all I received was a tortilla with a piece of beef thrown onto the plate. The restaurant (flatiron location) had these ceiling fans going on and I think by the time the food gets to the table they are cold and not worth the hype.

Had an unfortunate experience at this Tacombi…. Have visited several all over the city and each has been an amazing experience. But this one pretty put a real black eye in how I see tacombi’s customer service. I stopped by for a quick pickup before we left the city but then a friend of ours that wanted to experience tacombi for a first time wanted to stay to eat our to go food and order some apps and drinks. The moment we got near the stand they told my wife if you get to go you can’t sit down its one or the other…. While restaurant seemed relatively empty. Spoke with a manager to see if this is normal policy she allowed us to sit…. But with them completely ignoring our table or even asking if we needed anything. Even then we chose to leave a tip showing a different level of respect than what they showed us this evening. Im extremely disappointed and was not expecting such a dent on our amazing evening in the city. But don’t get me wrong the tacos are solid the esquitas is just an amazing childhood snack. Just beware if you choose to change your mind on where to eat it may backfire on you.

Came for the limited addition Michelin rated tacos- ordered both the chuleta and bisteak versions. Something must have been lost in the translation from Mexico to NYC - IMO both meats were bland while the corn tortilla lacked any depth. I did like the Roja and verde salsas however they could not make up for the lack of flavor.

Still hungry I decided to order an Al Pastor taco only once again to be very disappointed. Again taco lacked depth and flavor.

While the staff and atmosphere are touristy fun, if you’re a NYC local there are much better options for great tacos.

Los Tacos #1 in NYC and Taqueria Ramirez in Greenpoint offer a much better taco in my opinion.

While Taste and opinions are subjective I spoke with another couple who had just finished the identical order that I had and they basically had the same opinion.

Unfortunately I was super disappointed with my experience.
