Tajin is a Mexican restaurant next door to George’s, an American restaurant, both very near the Rector Street stop on the 1 train. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the chicken enchilada platter (2 enchiladas) with yellow rice and black beans with extra green sauce on four occasions ($18.95). All four experiences were positive. The two enchiladas are large and filled with shredded white chicken meat and a bit of pimento and are covered liberally in melted cheese....
Lovely experience - great food with wonderful and genuine service. Super accommodating and helpful. And the margaritas are delicious (and effective!) - you want Mexican? Just go already !
We stopped in here for a late lunch while on vacation with our family exploring the city. The service was top notch. I forget our waiters name, but he was 30ish maybe, tall, thin, lactose intolerant. Haha. Anyways, I got chicken enchiladas, a pretty staple item on Mexican menus, and I have ordered it plenty of times, in plenty of places. I was not prepared by just how wonderful these would be. The best flavor, with bubbly, toasted cheese on top. Absolutely hands down the best...
