Tacos were good but the lady at the cash register was rude and very short. Nobody else was on line and it wasn't busy at all. What's with the bad attitude and unfriendly customer service?

The food was pretty bland and the flavors did not mix well in my opinion. It was also quite expensive. I like that they have tables set up. Maybe their bowls would be better

Takumi Taco you are simply terrific, I had a lovely experience here yesterday. Menu items are good and the staff is very friendly. The menu is really great, lots of really good choices, I had to go with Japanese Lentil Taco, and it was magnificent. The service was awesome. They were fast, reliable, and got everything right. Yes, Takumi Taco actually care that you are pleased.

This was on our list for wedding catering, so I visited this location for a tasting. I greeted the counter person and told her I was told to come to this location for a tasting. She told me they weren't told about it, so I showed her my email, and she said to email them again. So that was helpful with me already there. I went ahead and ordered roughly what the catering truck was offering. The food was very quick, which is good, I guess?? Except it was fast because it had to have been prepped AGES ago. The seared tuna taco was so seared it was just cooked tuna, and it was swimming in a sea of mayo. The Chicken Adobo taco tasted a bit stale with a funny aftertaste that made me feeling super "meh." The chips were absolutely stale. And the corn salad was soggy and tasteless. I was definitely excited to try this place out, but between the quality of food and quality of service, we dodged a bullet!

The Teriyaki Rice Bowl with Japanese Curry Beef is disgustingly salty and inedible. I’ve had good luck with their tacos however.

Really enjoyed the food I had here and eager to try more. Went with a Bento Box option witch was a great deal in my opinion for $12. I got the Spicy Tuna tacos were awesome and very flavorful in a crispy gyoza shell. Opted for chips and salsa as a side witch again had great taste but found the spice on the chips not distributed well and some had piles on them which I found overpowering. Totally a great experience and will certainly return!
Seems like a strange combination, but everything I have had is delicious!

The food is 3.5 stars but rounding up because they were so efficient (super quick to serve but also because there was no line). I got the bento box with 2 tacos - Japanese curry and chipotle shrimp - market greens,"charred" corn salad, and a few chips to scoop up any extra filling. I'm glad I started with the shrimp because the Japanese curry blew that one out of the water. The shrimp was good, but the curry was excellent. Extremely flavorful, tiny bit of a kick. Absolutely delicious! However, the corn salad fell short -- the corn wasn't charred at all. In fact, there was no flavor on the corn and the whole salad was rather one note. And the greens were, well, greens (plus some shredded carrots). The chips and taco shells were nice and crispy. Overall, I am really impressed by the Japanese curry so that's probably what I would get again next time. Given the location, I can imagine the astronomical rent that probably drives up the prices and shrinks the portion sizes so I understand..but I probably could have done one more taco...

Food is flavorful! I had the bento box with Japanese lentil taco without the coleslaw. Asian veggie taco, Japanese rice and beans and salad with ginger dressing. The serving portions seems little, but when your done eating you realize it's the perfect amount. You won't feel bloated after.

Worst customer service ever. Very rude. When I simply requested to add a little extra dressing onto my Mandarin Salad, they refused unless I paid an extra $1. When I questioned this, the two women were very rude and unhelpful and blamed it on the "owner's rule". Quite ridiculous when paying $14 for a salad. Will not be going back. Hope it was worth losing business over $1 to the owner.

Very unimpressed with my bowl. It was mostly fairly bland, dry rice. I got the beef curry which was recommended by the woman at the counter. It was a tasty curry but there was hardly any meat. The quality of this meal was more like a frozen dinner than a fast and fresh counter. I think I might have eaten at their other location in Chelsea Market and had a better experience with their tacos but I cannot recommend the bowl at all.
