Tamarind Tribeca provided an exceptional dining experience. We started with the flavorful Lasuni Gobhi and Tandoori Mixed Grill, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. The Lasuni Gobhi and Dal Makhani (from the Mixed grill) was a standout, bursting with garlic and spice. For drinks, the Mango Cosmo was a refreshing choice, perfectly balanced and complementing the meal.Moving on to the main course, the Paneer Pasanda and Murgh Kohlapuri were good but not outstanding (maybe we expected more from a Michelin star). The paneer was rich and creamy, while the Murgh Kohlapuri was spicy and flavorful, showcasing Indian flavours. The Cucumber Raita, Lacha Parantha and Garlic Naan were exceptional - soft, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. Our server, Siddharth, provided excellent service, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was upscale yet comfortable, ideal for a special meal or celebration.Overall, Tamarind Tribeca met our expectations with its delicious food, great cocktails, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an upscale Indian dining experience in Tribeca.

To be fair, I have to say that overall I didn't feel bad at Tamarind. But if you don't want plastic bristles from the dish brush, this may not be the place you'd like to eat at. Especially it happened twice, on the same dish.I like their service, and also their food. But I am really sorry that I can't get along with the bristles, not at all. It is my problem. The Kulfi is what I may want to avoid in the future. It was the kind of ice cream which I couldn't eat with the spoon only. I had to use my hand to put it in the spoon.

Spotless and hygienic! Normally, this isn't the first thing I mention about a restaurant, but some restaurants are much better at achieving this than others -- and Tamarind can be counted on for a sanitary and healthy dining experience. The menu is extensive, and the flavors are delicately balanced using a full range of authentic spices. Everyone at our table had something different, and each raved about the quality, including the taste, texture, presentation, and more. While it can be a bit pricey, we always manage to emerge after dining that we received a reasonable value, especially for the excellent food and service we consistently receive.

Booked the table through Opentable. Showed up for a 8 pm dinner reservation for 6 with a kid (under 5). Was told that no indoor seating reservation for kids under 8 !! Wow ! It's a policy according to the front desk host. I was surprised but they offered us seating outdoors and told us it will be heated. We went to the outdoor pavilion and it was dirty. There was litter all over the floor. Look at the pictures uploaded. I asked the hostess if it's a policy to serve us at this dirty place ! We walked out and the restaurant canceled our Opentable reservation. She said we don't have enough staff and was very condescending about this. Thanks but no more eating here

While the quality of the food at this restaurant is commendable, there's a significant disparity between the prices charged and the portion sizes provided, which can be disappointing. However, the taste of the dishes is consistently excellent. Those seeking traditional Indian cuisine might find the offerings slightly modified to cater to a broader palate. Overall, it seems tailored more towards an American audience looking for an upscale introduction to Indian cuisine rather than catering to strict traditionalistsService quality variable. Depends on who and when you go

Michelin-starred Indian restaurant?, paid $250 to be served raw chicken and the biryani tasted as if it were infused with perfume.

This was an unreal experience for my friends and I! The atmosphere was amazing, they took us in right away and helped us to the table. The service was just impeccable, they answered all our questions and made sure we felt comfortable! The place offers a set menu and a chose your own dishes menu. I recommend the a la Carte menu, gives you lots of options. The display of the food was stunning, and with each bite the hype of this Michelin star Indian restaurant lived up to and delivered! The lamp cops had my friend saying don’t talk to him as he enjoys this stunning food. The portion sizes were good and certainly filling for all plates! The deserts were amazing the Kulfi ice cream is a must have if you are visiting here! Overall, we would come again we couldn’t get enough of this place and the service made us very happy!

Tamarind is wonderful. One of my top favorite Indian restaurants in the city. The space feels like an elegant living room. Big booths, high ceilings, romantic lights. Really good service too. My favorite dishes: Nizami keema (minced lamb), paalak chaat (crispy spinach), tamarind rice (order this!!!), Milagu Curry (lamb curry), Chicken Korma, Goan fish curry

The ambiance does not look or feel like you're in an Indian restaurant. There is very little to no Indian representation. It feels sort of like a fancy steakhouse inside. We ordered the samosas, saffron biriyani and saag paneer. The portions were verrrrrry small. I'm used to biriyani in moderate to big portions when ordered at a typical casual sit-down Indian restaurant. But this portion was very small as a side dish would be. And the price was over $20. There was a theme of most things being $24 such as the saag and other popular curry dishes. In my opinion, $24 is a lot for saag paneer. Also, the saag portion was small. We ordered raita with everything as well and we left still hungry and paying way too much for basic dishes. The service was attentive and nice. They even scoop the food on your plate for you which is nice but also makes you feel like a child. Lol. Also, the food isn't good. The restaurant feels like it's used as a social scene. I give two stars and recommend this place ONLY to have a social time with friends in Tribeca. I would not recommend for the food.
