Top tier tacos. We had the birria, shrimp, pastor and skirt steak. I couldn’t pick a favorite. The chips and guac were homemade and delicious. Great drinks.

I live around the neighborhood and decided to try this place out . I must say it was delicious! Very hard to find authentic Mexican food in the UWS. Great Latin music in the background and the drinks are just prefect.Kid-friendliness: Love how they have a clean high chair and perfect place to sit the baby and have the stroller on one side

LOVE this place. Maybe the best chips and salsa I have had in recent memory. It’s incredibly fresh. Amazing tacos as well. Addicted. Had the burrito once, and that was superb as well. Shout out to Brenda and team, they always greet me like family…and that really means a lot. Wish the tacos were slightly less expensive, but I get it. Times are tough.I hope they are successful because they do a great job and deserve it. Thank you Taqueria 86…I’m so lucky I live so close!

Food was okay. Nothing wow although when you see the bill you think you are in a Michelin starred restaurant. 3 tacos for 17$ ? Mid sized michelada for 13$?The girls where trying to be nice but once i would speak Spanish to them they would get bothered although from their faces you could clearly see they are Spanish speaking. The girls came to the table 3 times in total, but we got the bill with 20$ tips already in it. So basically you can’t even choose how much tips they deserve.It’s a neighborhood bar, the owner is clearly a money lover if he put this ridiculous prices. We payed 120$ for 3 people each had one plate and 2 drinks in total. Save yourself money and just go to a place where you can eat the same thing for half of the price.

Staff is equally the same.My favorite are the Sonora tacos and the Cholula tacos, but all of the tacos will please you.Drinks and food with friends? YES.Date night? YESFamily dinner? Small neighborhood favorite, delicious tacos and a few sides. Funky fun decor pays homage to the 1986 World Cup soccer championship. Very authentic taste, not Tex Mex which so much NYC Mexican can be. Service is quick, even after a group of 30 jiggers ran in after their race! Try the al pastor and chicken rings tacos. Delicious elote on the cob too. Loved our key lime cheesecake dessert.
