Taqueria Guadalupe

A hole in the wall restaurant for those that are brave and love sketchy places. The most disappointing thing was that the food I ordered was mediocre. The piping wasn't amazing and I had a strange feeling the cheese stuffed jalapeños were taken straight out of the freezer. The place only has 3 tables. I wish I could have tried the other dishes. They had pancita/menudo.

I visited Taqueria Guadalupe and found it to be a small, casual Mexican spot with a strong neighborhood feel. Taqueria Guadalupe has a simple, no-frills atmosphere focused on quick service and traditional comfort food. I tried a few tacos and found them flavorful, well-seasoned, and satisfying in a straightforward, homemade style. The place felt busy and informal, but efficient and welcoming. It’s a good option for affordable, authentic-style Mexican food in a relaxed setting.

Everything was tasteless. Chimichanga drenched in and leaking oil, a ton of peppers and onions to cover up the lack of shrimps. Guacamole is like half onions and was I supposed to pay extra to get some salt and lime on it? Cemita and steak burrito so dry. Even the tamarind was basically water and food coloring.

I'm so offended by how terrible this food was. Total waste of money, and there's way better in the area. Didn't think it was possible to get Mexican so wrong.

I absolutely love this place. Always fresh food. Complimtry chips and salsa bar. Cold beer and Mexican drinks. Friendly service and great atmosphere. Birria tacos are the bomb!

Woman gave me the entirely wrong order and barely spoke English. I told her it was wrong and she simply said “no it’s right” when it was obviously wrong. I ordered chicken nachos and they gave me tostadas and instead of fixing it they gave me plain nachos and took the stuff off the tostadas and put it on the nachos. I’m in disbelief. There’s another taco place 2 blocks away just go there for your own sake

I’ve been ordering from this restaurant every week for a few years on Seamless/Grubhub. It use to be really good. It’s still good now, but the chef or owner has changed. Everything, as in lettuce/tomato or cheese will cost extra ($1.50), even on the taco. The quesadilla use to come with guacamole, but now it’s extra ($1.50). The past few times I ordered, the sour cream is no longer included with my quesadilla. The quesadilla isn’t as cheesy and savory as it use to be, and the shrimp taco is a bit bland with not much lettuce or tomato (literally 3 small cubes of tomatoes and sparingly slices of lettuce with a thin slice of lime per each taco - 3). However, the shrimp nachos were good (they use real mozzarella and oaxaca cheese instead of the nasty mustard-color cheese. I didn’t bother taking a picture of the tacos or quesadilla. Their prices increased a little after covid. It’s more of being almost $20 with the main plates being around $25.
