Gorgeous ceramics and tea selection, soothing vibes inside and friendly staff that were so well versed in tea. The orchid oolong and Korean Sejak are excellent.
Nice taste with good service
An exceptional and well-curated teas of every variety - black, green, oolong, puerh, and yellow! Knowledgeable and kind attendant. Some really beautiful tea kettles and accessories, as well. Should be a must-stop for any tea-lover in the city.
Very cool concept. It is not a tea shop rather where you can buy tea items.
This shop has some fine teaware but I wasn't impressed by the matcha. I tried the Shouraku in the store, the only one that was available to take out. (They only do take out now). Though it had a bit of a (strangely) harsh kick, and the seller struggled to whisk up a froth, it was drinkable. So I decided to try their higher end Shousui, which proved to be not nearly as vibrant in color or as scented as the matchas I get in a similar price range, and also had the same harsh flavor. Not recommended.
This is a little gem of a placeBeautiful ceramics designed by the owner Stefan’s wife.Stefan is passionate about tea and travels to Asia to source it.He’s super friendly and so is the staff.I love the black matcha oat milk latte with notes of chocolate, and the superb matcha oat milk latte with no sugar added.
Best place to get your matcha. Lovely store with lovely service. You can order a matcha, or buy matcha to make at home.
I hate having to give these guys a 5 star. But that is the truth. I hate it because I live in Alaska and my local tea store used to have great white and matcha teas - in my opinion. Until, that is, my daughter ordered me some white and matcha teas from Tea Dealers. Wow - It's so delicious. And expensive and takes time to be delivered from NY to AK. I used to be happy with local. Not anymore. Thanks Tea Dealers. Hahaha.
Beautiful store with incredible tea selection and ceramics! They have teas from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan and they let you smell them before purchasing which is very nice! Staff were very kind and helpful. Delicious to go drinks as well I recommend the iced yuzu matcha
Some of the best tea I've had, and the price is certainly worth it (you have to try the Long Jing!). You can tell how much care the owner puts into sourcing, and it's fun hearing about where the teas are from, who the farmers are, and what makes the teas unique. There's a lot of subtle depth and attention here, and the taste is certainly a reflection of that. This is a very special shop.

Inexplicably unfriendly staff — got passive aggressive negative vibes and curt answers after asking a few questions about the teas. Otherwise, they have a wide selection of relatively overpriced teas. Nice decor inside.
A memorable tea pairing experience, the tea were special and good, the meal is also great. The owner is friendly too.
Great choices of teas
Great cocktails and friendly service, a bit pricey though
We visited 29b Teahouse yesterday and while busy, the friendly tea baristas Michael and Edward took time to answer our questions and make recommendations. We tried three tea infused cocktails, inspiring us to go home and try to make tea alcohol ourselves, a Korean Sejak green tea, and then black matcha, an odd and interesting red tea matcha. The Sejak had fresh grassy notes with a savory and earthy undertone. The black matcha had a fuller body, with a lightly sweet, honey aroma.
