This was my first time trying and I loved it. Delicious hand rolls. Try the blue crab classic. The staff was very friendly and gave me recommendations which I greatly appreciated as a first-timer.

Traveled 2 hours for this place. They Told us 30 minutes.. gave them my phone number… we came back in 45 minutes without a call back… they went to try and get us seats… the group they tried to get out ordered more food.. so they said they would call us back … we came back another 45 minutes later… without a call back… to see the seats they were trying to get for us taken by another group… terrible management… and wasting customers time.. from 30 minutes to almost 1.5 hours… not to mention the 2 hour drive… -10 stars… stay away… just told a group of 7 outside wanting to go in to walk away.. and they did… waste of time…

This place put me in the hospital last night due to histamine poisoning with their toro. They have no way of contacting them and I don’t want others to endure the same as I spent 6 hours In the emergency room. I honestly thought the food was fantastic but the scombroid poisoning was horrific and my entire body swelled up, covered in hives and my throat started to close. I am not allergic to raw fish and ate it on Thursday with no issues. scombroid poisoning is the result of raw Tuna not properly stored so Be careful. I hope their team sees this before someone else is poisoned

Handrolls were loosely wrapped and on the small side, but the fish was good quality and pretty delicious. Got an ice green tea that was just ice water that had the tiniest tinge of green to it. I literally thought it was water until they brought out my water glass. Staff was friendly and service was great. Overall good but not great imo.
I walked into this space knowing it was less expensive than the competitor right next door, unsure of what to expect. The ambiance is clean, but a bit cold with lots of exposed metal, which I quickly realized was perhaps purposeful, as the service and turn over was notably quick just from glancing around, even before I sat. I chose to go with the recommended set of 4 - deciding on two spicy and two without the spicy. The scallops were a good portion for under ten dollars a roll, and fresh, the crab had much too much Mayo, but the regular salmon and tuna were surprisingly fresh and well-seasoned all served with real wasabi. My big issue with this venue at the time I was there, is the woman making the rolls seemed to also be the only one serving the patrons, which led to an inefficient scenario of guests continually having to ask her for water, drinks, and wasabi from distracting her from concentrating on making sushi. As I was finishing my last roll, the hostess and the woman making the rolls drifted to the end of the bar to engage in some lively banter together forgetting to ask me if I would like anything else. Asking a customer if they would like another roll is probably the easiest way for the restaurant to make extra money here. When I checked out at the front, and gratuity was included, I came to realize that the attitude around the restaurant is: since tip is included, the staff do not feel they have to please the customers anyway, rather than the traditional Japanese mindset that the service is expected to be so fantastic that the customers are happy to leave after having given a fair fixed tip. I would come again mostly because it is a good deal, and probably bring my own water bottle, and ask for extra wasabi from the get-go.

Service was really lacking, to say the least. We came in for an early dinner. It was just us (a party of 2) and another person in the restaurant. From the start, we waited a long time before anyone took our order. Why?? There were only 3 people in the place.
After we finally placed our order, they came back later because they had forgotten what we ordered. Only part of our order came out, and no one checked on us. We told them we were still waiting on drinks and crispy rice orders. When we finally received the other part of our order, we realized they only served 2 plates out of the remaining 4, and we waited even longer. Eventually, we got everything but not before another missing item.
It was just frustrating. There weren't many guests to begin with, and eventually, a couple of people came in, but the place wasn't busy. I can't imagine what the service would be like when they are packed. I will probably never know because I'm not coming back.

I never sat down and ate here but I always order to pick up . The servers and bartenders are very nice. The restaurant is very beautiful in a great neighborhood. Would be a great place for a date, or solo dining. I only get one thing to go , DIY HANDROLL BOX. It has 5 different fish on top of rice and comes with nori and some sauce on the side. It cost around $75. I started getting this around 1 year ago, I ordered it 10+ times already. Every time, it was consistently amazing. Unfortunately this time around it was very different. The quality was dramatically less. Fish wasn’t as flavorful, very dull, and dry. They did not include the nori sheets. And did not have the sauce on the side. I was very disappointed. I really love this place and hope that it was just a one time thing. I will try one more time in hopes it will be as good as before.
