Overall this food is really good and the atmosphere was wonderful! The only knock is that the service could be better; for example, I’m pretty sure my wife and I either received our rolls in different orders or got different roles altogether even though we ordered the same set menu. One of the best sushi spots I’ve been to in New York! The fish was incredibly fresh, and every piece was perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, with a nice balance between traditional and modern vibes. Our server made sure we had everything we needed and gave great recommendations. He gave us one of the best sake we had which is Soto and I really enjoyed it with my hand roll. I’ll be coming back again to enjoy it.
Idk if we came on a VERY off night or what, but service was comically bad. Like, truly the worst service we’ve ever experienced in NYC. Not that anyone was outright rude, there was just a general sense that absolutely no one we interacted with knew what was going on lol.
To start off strong, there were flies all over. At least 5-6 big huge flies flying around.
Then our waiter had no idea about any of the sakes on the menu, couldn’t tell us if they were unfiltered...
