One of my 2025 personal projects is to frequent a number of tea shops in Manhattan. I was in Chinatown today and decided to make this shop my first. The proprietor was extremely helpful. The oolong and hibiscus teas she recommended combine to make a lovely tea. And I’m very excited to try the green tea tomorrow morning. I bought one of the least expensive of the green teas, but I am sure it is going to be much better than the cheap stuff I’ve been drinking. This is a very lovely shop with very helpful owners.
Free tea tasting in the back while you wait for them to make your boba tea.
Don’t shop there. Everything is over-priced! They used to be a really good place to shop. Everything charged after COVIA as they only want business from tourist.
A tea and bubble tea shop in the heart of China Town. I tried a brown sugar slush and I really liked it. Very welcoming team. I would have liked to have taken another one before I left.
Amazing. I stumbled upon this shop when me and my friend and I needed to go back to our hotel. We didn't want to leave china town without bubble tea, so we agreed to enter the first tea shop we saw. I'm so happy we went there. The best boba i have ever tasted. The shop was cute and inviting, the staff was amazing and the drinks were delicious. If I remember right, it took the brown sugar Boba. My friend took the mango Boba. We loved it. I've been back in Canada for a while now, but I still think about it. I go into Boba shops to buy the same drink, but it's not as good. If I ever go back to NY china town, I'm going there!
A nice loose tea location that you can now get some more modern tea drinks. (boba, milks, ect) I have used them for years for loose tea and have always been happy with the quality of the tea. A very wide selection of loose and pre-bagged tea available.

Ten Ren has been a staple in Chinatown forever(it seems). They have dozens of varieties of tea.
Still one of the best places for tea. They also have Bubble Tea.
Friendly service. Black milk tea was very watery.

Ten Ren is my go to for ginseng and quality teas. If you haven't been for a while, Ten Ren is now a single combined store. It sells tea drinks in the front. Teas, ginseng and herbs are sold in the back of the store. Makes a lot more sense space and rent wise.
Fantastic. Authentic.
Fantastic selection of tea. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff!
I recommend Ten Ren's to anyone looking for loose leaf tea in the area. They have a massive selection with competitive prices and they were helpful in finding what I was looking for. Brought some tea home for a tea connoisseur I know and they were very pleased.
