Went for Happy Hour before a show at the Beacon. Service was great, drinks were good and app style food was tasty. They even split the bill perfectly between two groups.

What a fantastic place to meet friends. I am ashamed to say that I have been to TESSA 3x and this is my first time leaving a review. I have never had a less than spectacular experience and the food is only surpassed by the service. I along with my companion had an absolutely amazing time at Tessa and will certainly be patronizing this wonderful restaurant again; hopefully, soon.

Absolutely loved my experience at this restaurant! The grilled octopus was a standout dish—10/10 for sure! The flavors were incredible, and it was cooked to perfection. The fried cauliflower was equally impressive, also a 10/10; they had the perfect crunch and flavor. The romesco salmon was spot on, beautifully balanced and delicious.
The ambiance was just what we needed for a chilly evening—gloomy and moody with candlelit tables that created a cozy atmosphere. Perfect for a date night or a special occasion!
And let’s not forget the drinks! The Grey Goose martinis were amazing—smooth and refreshing. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I can't wait to repeat! Highly recommend!

We visited as a family with our 2-year-old daughter and a person in a wheelchair. The staff clearly saw our situation, acknowledged it, and still chose not to offer any assistance or accommodation. The way we were treated felt dismissive and, honestly, came across as discriminatory toward our family’s needs.
There was no effort to help, no empathy, and no basic courtesy — even after it was evident that we needed accessibility support. Instead of welcoming us, the attitude made us feel like we were not wanted there.
In a city like New York, where respect and inclusion should be standard, this was deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant to families or to anyone who needs accessible seating. There are many places nearby that treat guests with dignity

Excellent restaurant and service by Annalisa. The branzino was among the best I've ever had. Terrific buratta and hummus as appetizers. Great wine list! Will definitely return!

Usually busy. I’ve sat at the bar mostly, a couple times at a table. I prefer the bar. Sal and the woman bartender are awesome! I like their cabs and the garden martini. The cauliflower app is so good. I love their bread rolls. The happy hour has food and drink specials. I’ve been many times, it’s a neighborhood favorite.

We had a wedding event here in June and it was PERFECT. The staff was incredible - so on top of everything - our guests always had a drink in their hand and the food service was seamless. Highly recommend this restaurant for brunch, dinner, or for your next big event!
