How does 3+3+3= 1? I will tell you. The ratings do not allow you to rate attitude and store good-will toward the community. I had been a patron in this store on many occasions. This day I asked to use the bathroom. I am a senior man and the least threatening, in appearance, that a person can be. I made it clear that I have often patronized the store, but to no avail. It is for patrons ONLY. No community good will. Keep your food, keep your restaurant.

I got the beef brisket when I arrived here on a quiet evening. The food comes with a few sides, making the whole meal very filling and tasty. It's good food.

Food was terrible. Been living in Manhattan for 8 years and this is honest to God the worst food I’ve ever had. Nasty ass chicken and collards. Spent $19 on it too, trust me and go to the Chipotle down the street from it or something.

The chicken looked as though it was grown with steroids, GMO and antibiotics, it was dry and the quality looked horrible. It didn’t taste good at all, mash potatoes tasted bland, Mac and cheese was basic. I didn’t think I would be having such a bad experience for my work lunch break. Highly disappointed that I lost my appetite and wasted my money over this place and I couldn’t get a refund from Uber eats. Don’t waste your time at this place. If you complain about portion size and you want cheap food with low quality standards then this place for you but not for me.

If you are looking for something decent and reasonably priced this is great spot. It's not fancy, it's not the best barbecue you have eaten, but it's good and won't break the bank. Service is friendly and prompt.

Had a very good late lunch here. Service was friendly and quick. Price was really better than going to McDonald's, (a big surprise). Food tasted very good. Would stop in again on our next visit to the Big Apple ?.

The food is pretty subpar.
I ordered a Mac and cheese and a beef burger with Swiss cheese. Asked for medium rare, it came overcooked.

They charge an extra dollar for the cheese, and I found an almost invisible tiny slice.

And it all just tasted pretty blah.

I used to eat here on a weekly, biweekly basis. But I can tell when a place is ready to shutter and fold. The quality of the food has gone down terribly. The rotisserie was not delightful, it was distasteful and the presentation looked like it should be served in a prison. I will not be eating from this place again. The female cashiers have an attitude problem. They aren't worth tipping. If you want real BBQ, avoid this place. I feel sick after eating from here.

Update: 2.22.2024
Where do I begin, because I'm super duper annoyed & disgusted. Wednesday, Feb.21, 2024 I stopped by, since I was in the area. I ordered the ribs/chicken combo & the Corona battered fried codfish with 4 sides and cornbread. The cornbread was decent, BUT the Ribs were AWFUL-AWFUL. I was served an old stale half of slab of ribs, which most likely was microwaved & then saturated with BBQ sauce to cover up the dried out slab. Unbelievably ridiculous to say the least. My fish, that get everytime I visit was, soggy tasteless. The fried chicken was dried. My mashed sweet potatoes, were a watery mushy tasteless paste. The baked beans, were so watery, I thought I was given bean soup. I can't begin to explain the so-called "cole-slaw."
This was my 1st time ordering the ribs- I'm going to need a refund for some of this GOD awful food. Are you kidding me? $53 bucks for tasteless, ill prepared food. Please ST🛑P
I know about restaurant food, in particular bbq meats. I was a co-owner of Silky's Ribs of Hackensack at the turn of this century in NJ. We made the best ribs and soulfood sides in Bergen Cty. We should have bottled our sauce, that's how great it was.
I'm looking for a email address so that I may contact them directly. I truly hope they see this post and reach out. This was not a good experience at all😡

It's was pretty cool, Nice menu selection with fairly good prices. Generous portions. Assorted desserts & beverages. The (1) thing was that the server failed to put the BBQ sauces and condiments in the bag. I specifically asked the server if everything, bbq sauces & condiments and plastic ware were in the bag. She said, YES.

Vegetarian options: A nice selection of side dishes. Baked beans, collard greens-non traditional, but I liked it. Potatoes, coleslaw, mac & cheese, etc.

Parking: It depends on the time of day. It's located on Broadway.
