Top 3 NYC spots for me!
I had the Laab salad with fried chicken and it's the best salad I've ever had period.

Food was good but took an hour to come out and then came in the wrong order. They deff forgot our ticket and didn’t offer us anything to apologize, was a major bummer!

Absolutely loved our meal at Thai Diner.
The staff was extremely personable and helpful and the food was amazing.
I had the Panang Neuh and it was probably the single best dish I have eaten all year.
My wife got the vegetarian khao so I, and it also was delicious and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly.

The food is amazing! I will not take away from that. The lunch staff was amazing. Juan (bartender) was so amazing! Explained the menu, bought out the bowl for the prawns, had an amazing conversation, even while being busy he was the epitome of knowing how to work a room and do multiple c things at once etc.

The difference lies in the dinner service. Unfortunately, it was horrible. The only thing that saved it was the food. That’s consistent. Nikko? I think that’s her name seemed rushed, harried, and quite frankly rude.

Then there’s the tall fedora hat wearing guy that keeps walking around and didn’t give you a safe feeling.

It is what it is. At least I enjoyed the food.

We tried Thai Diner and it was fine, 3/5. They have a lot of gluten free options which I really appreciated as someone with celiac, and our server was helpful in explaining what was and wasn’t safe.

We ordered the lobster omelette with red curry and lobster. The idea was better than the execution and it was very spicy. The papaya salad was fresh and tasty. The beef short rib pad see ew had good flavor but wasn’t saucy enough. All of it was gluten free which was incredible.

The biggest downside is that our entire order got lost and we waited over 45 minutes before receiving any food. I expected at least a discount or something to make up for it, but we were charged full price.

Overall the experience was just okay and not something I would go out of my way for again.

Superb food - especially for vegetarians. We loved the Khao Soi, the Egg Sandwich, the Som Tum, and the Banana Pudding. Service was kind and fast as well. Loved it.

I recently visited Thai Diner and was absolutely blown away. The moment I walked in, I felt transported to Thailand with the beautiful décor. Warm wooden elements combined with vibrant Thai artwork adorned the walls, while soft, ambient lighting created an intimate atmosphere. Traditional Thai ornaments and delicate orchid arrangements added authentic touches throughout the space. The gentle background music featuring traditional Thai instruments completed the sensory experience.

The stuffed cabbage Tom Khaa was the standout dish - cabbage rolls filled with turkey, mushroom, and jasmine rice in a coconut milk broth with the perfect balance of lime and chili. It was truly something special!

We also loved the Yum Kai Hua Pli (chilled chicken banana blossom salad) which was refreshingly served cold with a tangy coconut sauce and crunchy fried shallots and peanuts. The Som Tum (green papaya salad) rounded out our meal with vibrant colors and the perfect crunch.

Every dish showcased an incredible balance of flavors - creamy, tangy, spicy, and fresh. The food was consistently excellent with careful attention to detail. The atmosphere was lively, the service was attentive, and sitting in the beautifully designed space really enhanced the dining experience.

Pro tip: Make a reservation before coming as this place gets busy, and for good reason! Can't wait to return and explore more of their menu while enjoying the immersive Thai atmosphere.

Thai Diner in Soho is such a cool spot. The Thai iced tea babka is really unique and delicious, and the roti breakfast sandwich is a must try. The decor inside is very cool, with a lot of character that makes the place stand out. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a very cute place. I'm glad that I checked it out but I don't need to come back. I had The Thai Tea Babka French Toast, it wasn't custardy inside, the way French Toast should be. The Condensed Milk and the Thai Tea spread it came with made it better. The Spicy Tamarind Margarita was delicious. The service was okay. Some items are overpriced, in my opinion.

I went here for brunch and got the dumplings to start. It was packed with chicken which was nice but a bit too salty, I think it might be that they overdid the fish sauce. The cheesesteak was a tasty twist on a classic diner item but also a little salty. Table next to me got the snapper which looked pretty good. Service was great but the seating is a bit packed like most popular new york brunch spots.
