I was wrongfully told I was kicked out when trying to re-enter the bar after stepping outside to speak with a friend.. when respectfully asking why I was met with a serious attitude problem from the bouncer who was rude and condescending and he was able to give me no reason besides saying “the manager doesn’t want you in”. I tried asking if I could speak to a manager to be given a reason and was only told to leave. I was a paying customer from out of state and am a young female who was then forced alone on the street while my friends were inside. While trying to explain that I couldn’t leave without my friends because I wasn’t from here.. he then placed his hands on me and told me I was trespassing. The bouncers behavior definitely needs addressed by management. I’ve read similar situations throughout other reviews. Would not recommend.

Terrible night. I was wrongly kicked out after deciding not to wait on the ridiculously long bathroom line. When asked why I got kicked out the manager didn’t know. When he came back later after I was stuck waiting outside he said he picked me out because I was too drunk. Made no sense considering he had NO IDEA why I was kicked out in the first place. Very rude staff never going back again. Should be ashamed of how you treat your paying customers.

This been my spot since before I was even legal but today showed me they true colors.... I got kicked out for being to drunk mind u every drink I bought wasn't for me. I entered in with 2 others and was told as closing my tab that I was to drunk to purchase drinks and to leave the property according to the Manger who co-signed "John" who knew nothing of the situation said they agreed.

I’ve been frequenting this bar for some time now. Even though beer pong isn’t allowed anymore, I still love going to the 13th Step! I saw a bartender that seems out of his element. He was running around frantically and seemed like he was in over his head. Thankfully, there were familiar faces behind the bar, so I stayed and hung out. Music was fun as usual. But I miss the New York mural that was on the wall. The vibe was very off, but I will give it another chance. And those late night trippy videos look like a screen saver. Go Yankees!

I stopped in to catch the 2nd half of a soccer game as I was walking uptown. The place seems like a friendly neighborhood bar - lots of people coming in and out. I did not spend much - had a few sodas while watching the game but felt comfortable and welcome just the same. There did seem to be plenty of options, but I did not try the food or alcoholic beverages. My rating is mainly based on the relatively friendly atmosphere.

This place is an incredible sport bar? and possibly one of the best in NYC! ? The 13th Step offers beer ?, drinks ?, and a fantastic ambience! ? Bar staff is super friendly, welcoming, and fun! Definitely come over the weekend when this place transforms into the best dance bar in the city with the best music ? ever! I wish I knew about this place earlier and came here more often!

Great bartenders, great ownership. They have a typical bar food menu. The food is always good. The drinks are strong and the place is clean, including the bathrooms.

Came here for a birthday party. There is a private space in back with its own bar. It’s a typical college bar with typical college drinks and typical college kids. It’s a fine place for a quick drink, just know that if you’re over 25 you’ll feel old.

The SERVICE it’s HORRIBLE. The blonde bartender who works Mondays nights is super rude, she treats us really badly and insults us. She charged us for things that we didn’t consume and forced us to pay her the tip, because he threatened that if we did not pay the tip she would call the police. The bar and the food is good and they have super good price, but the service was super sad.

was at this Bar yesterday afternoon with some friends and then we went to a different spot. Later on we decided to head back to this bar. The drinks were good and so was the vibe. I got a call before walking into the bar. So I stayed outside to talk otp. When I was ready to go in the Bouncer asked for my ID which I gave to him. But as he was checking my ID a girl walked in behind me and he didn't card her. So I made a joke stating "lol you're not gonna check hers?". So after that he asked me to repeat what I said and he answered "since you want to be funny you can go somewhere else". So I'm like are you serious because of that joke. We eventually started arguing and he said he hopes I "DIE OF AIDS AND BURN IN HELL". Which I'm obviously gay, and it's pride month. Bouncers like this ruin the experience and reputation of bars. Will never be returning here. I will also will be letting friends know the kinda bar this is and the kind of people they hire to work there.

This place is great! Plenty of tvs for game watching and the food is so good. We got a grilled chicken sandwich, fried pickles, buffalo cauliflower and the oreos. Great prices too, definitely recommend!

Everything is good! Except for the rude bouncer, wearing the flat bill down past his eyebrows. He came up to my table unannounced, touched my airbar which was sitting there (not using it, I like to empty my pockets when i am seated), and in a very booming voice, declared "This is warning number one , if I see you with This again I will kick you out of the bar" it was very unnecessarily intense. He then made everyone in the party uncomfortable by hovering around our table and giving uncomfortable stares in our direction. We never even hit the vape!! This guy is taking his job way too seriously. Let people enjoy themselves and not feel judged, and just leave us alone unless we actually break your sacred "rule". Your attitude alone is enough to make anyone not come back. Still giving five stars because I know it's not the bar's fault

PROS: This bar has a reputation for being the hot spot for college students on weekend nights. After going there, I completely agree. Their kitchen is open past midnight, full bar, and great music. They even have 2 other bars connected to the main one CONS: The place was very cramped inside hardly any street parking in front of the place. The bathroom was also small and unkept. OVERALL: Definitely a place I would go to check out if you're in the area. It's just not something I would go out of my way for
