I’ve visited the Bitter End twice over the last month after not being there for 30 years. I saw two great acts, James Maddock and Guthrie Trapp. The sound is fantastic, the acts were top top shelf, the staff is great as are the customers. Oh, and the price is right! Thanks for being there

They charge you 10$ for entry and then they force you to buy 2 drinks minimum on top of that, and of course the drinks are unnecessarily expensive. Staff is very rude, especially the waitress. Music performances are good but when the whole place makes you feel unwelcome it's hard to enjoy yourself. Pretentious vibes

The name is self-explanatory.John Denver and Joni Mitchell played here in the 60s. Cool story. There is NO MOSHING and they don't like Punks. In fact Paul Colby himself during the "other end" years said that he'd rather sniff Tom Paxton's farts for 140 years than ever have the Ramones play at the End.2 drink minmum plus cover.

We came down for the songwriters collective evening as this is a historic venue in NYC and we were keen to visit. Iconic location which has seen ALL of the greats over the years and continues to offer opportunities to new (and older) talent. While perhaps we didn’t see the next Joni, Bob or Neil Young we did enjoy everyone giving it their best and the service was great and the host was enthusiastic about each act. A great and memorable evening for us and we would definitely go back. Plus some great graffiti in the washroom ?

I've been all over the world; The Bitter End is my favorite place on the planet. The staff is like family, and the music is otherworldly.

I've been playing here on and off for 20 plus years. Feels like home. Amazing backline that always seems to be getting better.

We had an amazing time at Sunday School. Great service from an absolutely amazing bartender and a truly personal experience with all the musicians. We will be back!

We came here for our son’s piano recital. An amazing space for any events. If you are in need of renting a space during the day the Bitter End was super fun!! Drinks for mom and dads and great venue to introduce kids to learn how to tackle stage fright.

Intimate space for live music. 2 drink minimum. Bonus- they have hot coffee! Watch your step on your way to the bathroom!

To walk in , this place is just another small venue. Once in to take a closer look and see the history of what amazing artists have got their start in this venue . Diamond,Mitchell, Simon & Garfunkel.. just gave the place such a great aura. The staff was pleasant. The bathrooms were clean, and the drinks were fairly priced.
